Hello Corinthiens13,

I understand your demand. At the beginning of that thread, I only wanted to share French version of the non-existing French rules for new (or older) expansions AND adding the WiCa's ressources with a lot of datas.

But I think you're completely right. The thread is not to enlight my works but to help French speaking players all around the world... Spread the (good ^_^') word !

So I'll do it. If you think there can be a beter way to promote French translations, let me know ! And thank you for your good idea !

You should come and help on the Wica too !  O:-) :))

EDIT : Ok, have a look now ! And say me if it's ok like that !  ;)

Hi,

That's perfect ! I'm sure it's gonna help a lot of Carcassonne fans to have this list of every existing translated rules !

I know there's a lot of work to translate WICA too, but for now I don't have the time to do this. I'm keeping my French CAR up to date as I'm using it regularly when playing, and that's taking enough of my time (well, that's taking too much of my time according to my wife  ::)

Well, if you ask it... One final step to promote French translations a bit more would be to... Translate your first post in French  ;D
You could add twice the text, once in English, and then in French  ;)

Anyway, that's an awesome work you've been doing, thanks a lot !

Really nice version (6.3) of your file Corinthiens13 This last version is really nice !  :(y)

+1 merit for this incredible update you've made to your big file (it was 28p before the update and it is 32p now)...

Nice colors and page setup of everything. Looks like an original file from HiG !  :))

Thanks Gagoune and Linksux for your comments, and for your work on translating single expansions rules ! ;)

I'm working on the next update with the addition of Easter in Carcassonne's rules, a few layout optimisations, and some rules corrections.

I'm waiting for an answer to this question before uploading the new file:

+1 merit from me too. It's an awesome doc.

I posted a reply, but no official clarification is available as of yet. I had some questions in my list for HiG regarding the dos and don'ts affecting this case though.

But I have to be patient as HiG does not have enough to handle all the open questions I have at once. Still dealing with Peasant Revolts from my first batch.
Questions about rules? Check WICA: wikicarpedia.com

Hi Gagoune,

Maybe you can add the demo version you did also translate on the first post's list  ;)

And a link to your new thread with fan expansions.  :yellow-meeple:

Hi Corinthiens13,
You're right! I'll do it.  ^-^
For the link, it's already done... Maybe misplaced...  :-[
Where do you think it would be good to place it?

@Linksux : Added to the C1 part...   8)

@everyone : One question to French users of CarcC : do you think I should edit the first post to have a French version or the dual-translation ?
Thanks for your answers !  :))

Hi,

Thanks for your contribution! Very well done, +1 merit from me  :yellow-meeple:

Here are two vocabulary questions, as I didn't use the same wording for my French order of play than you did for this French rule.

English word - the word I used - the word you used
  • Easter in Carcassonne- Pâques à Carcassonne- Festival de Pâques (I don't know how it is where you live, but in Switzerland, we do not call Easter a festival  ??? )
  • Easter nest - Nid de Pâques- Nid d'oeufs (I searched both wordings on google, "nid d'oeufs" didn't get any easter related contents

What do you think?
