Anyone using the OSx Carcassonne?

Sorry if this is totally wrong forum to query this, but has anyone succeeded using the OSx version on macbook pro with online multiplayer? The "settings" -> "online account" -> "log in gaming centre" doesn't seem to do anything. Wife works in different city during weeks and she's been bugging me to get it working so that we can play together also during weeks . She's got the ipad version and it seems to work just fine.
