Still.. it would be silly that they spend more money.. when most boxes will stay in the stores..

I was really stunned by the amount of negative reactions of the dutch community.. The only positive thing stated is that the box has awesome graphics

Has anybody think of it that maybe Doris is tired of Carcassonne after 20 years? That could be something.

As far as I know Doris has lots of illustration projects, so this might be a point. Also HiG once said that the contract with her expired.

And for me i will off course buy the new version. But than only the base game and any future expansions that will not be published in the old style. I have everything from the old Carcassonne and many fansansions, so if I want to play them I play the old version. The new version will start just what they say: A new era. There will be new stories to be made in a different Carcassonne world.
