That's the lighting - The blocks are covered with a thin layer of paper to protect from burning.

Nice delivery, Decar! However, I'm more interested in the badly hidden small meeple cups in the background of your photo. ;)

Furthermore, can someone tell my, why on eart I should want to play with tampons?! I can only verify one english meaning of that word, which is this one.

Just received my first Artscow order: 3 decks for $18 (free shipping). Got a little gift for my dad, and these two treats for myself:

Carcassonne Selector Cards :(y) Brings me back to my Dominion-playing days, shuffling the randomizer cards to see what kind of game would take shape before us.

Stephen Cappello's "Bugbear" (Bogeyman) re-theme of Reiner Knizia's Battle Line (which I have yet to play).

Haha, well they're not really meant to be a selector card, as if I'd play without the base game (although I did once try to convince my wife to play a game with just the six Ferries tiles, just to make our brains hurt -- it never happened).

I was inspired to include the "Base Game" card after playing with my parents, who had trouble remembering even the basic rules. It's meant as more of a player aid for Carcassonne newbies (or forgetful, beloved older folks). jdpeters' original Selector Cards actually had four separate cards for the base game features, but I couldn't resist reducing it to one card.

I got something very cool from the postman yesterday C:-).

I won't go into detail in case it spoils the surprise for anyone else, but I just wanted to post here to say thanks and to merit Decar for his efforts.

Thanks dude! :) :(y)

My postman brought me these.  I got them for a decent price from a guy on boardgamegeek.  They are part of the Deutscher Spielepreis 2016 Goodie Box, but I had no interest in the other 3 promos.

Nice, I might have to try to get hold of these myself. Seems like they're going or about €8 on BGG which isn't outrageous.

BGG has the entire Goodie box for $18.  I don't know what shipping is.  If you have Time Stories or Mombasa, it may be worth it to get the whole thing.  The Codenames Promo has KJW on one of the cards, but we don't own it and even if we did, I doubt we would want to play with that promo.

I am hoping to eventually get the Isle Of Skye Themenplättchen promo for a reasonable price.
