Notice the 2 ways we can put the old archive boards. Either as a sticky topic (my preference) or else back out on the same level as the main board list. But the 2nd way clutters up the board if they'll all be listed twice.

I think Stinky-ing the old board is probably the best option. Are we going to just keep the current (old) boards or are you going to/able to revert to the board from a few months back?

I prefer the sticky method also.

Didn't get an email that my account was activated, though I did get a registration confirmation email.

I hope that I won't have to do Captcha every time I post...

Good to be back... the captcha is annoying... I could hardly read what the letters were on registration and certainly don't want to do it for every post!

I won't be able to revert the old boards. The sneaky hacker who corrupted the database made so much of a mess it's basically impossible without an army of trained monkeys and 4 or 5 years. We'll just link to it and mark it read-only. Of course members can copy & paste old threads into here or link to old ones to carry on discussions. I'll post a how-to for that.

the captcha is hard, but it deters spammers. there is one level harder actually so I thought I'd go easy on you guys

You only have to do the captcha the first 2 or 3 times then you can post at will.

Novelty, canada steve and CKorfmann

I don't know if mjharper would come back.
