Some examples: If you use expansions like the Tower or the Princess and the Dragon, than you can put the meeples away from the landscape which are trapped.

I've build a small weaving loom. You can see the loom in the background of the photo with the socks-snake. I sewed some small bags with the weaving clothes:

Those are really amazing and cute! Have you ever sewed a meeple before?
Yes, I have sewed meeple and builder.

Why not the word: WICA in the typical Carcassonne letters?

At the endgame of the World Championship they expand the playing area with a 2n or 3rd table, because the tiles are very large (around 8 or 10 cm).

I've talked about it with Georg Wild from HiG some years ago. And in the CAR you can find the table edge story. We also thought of what happens if the players like to play the game on the floor. Does the edge of the floor ends under the sofa or under the bookshelf?

WARNING: I tried to add both C3 base games to the cart and they are the same. CundCo is only selling C3 in German, even if the English description does not specify it.
CundCo Shop: is selling from The base game and the big expansions are from HiG and they have only German Rules. The mini expansions are from HIG/CundCo - these expansions have German and English rules.

BTW, Any clue on the graphic credits for Cathedrals in Germany? It was released after Halflings so Marcel Gröber should have participated in it as well... But the lack of cities don't help.
When I remember correctly Anne Pätzke was working on the Cathedrals.

@Kettlefish Do you know Marcel Gröber? I'm just wondering if he is as much into rules as Christof Tisch could have been...
I don't know Marcel Gröber. He is at HiG since 2020. The game is 20 years old. I think that explains a lot. I will not exlain more about it. All I can say is, that all the people aren't working any more at HiG who gave me the answers for the clarification of rules.

Whaleyland, thank you for your great review for the past time of our CarcC forum.
I also started to play Carcassonne with the first BigBox in 2006.
Here in Germany we hadn't a forum like this in the early years. The fan expansions and questions: We have had a side from HiG where we had a direct contact to them. The answers we've got from Georg Wild and we had some really good members there who answered the most questions. And we had there some fan-expansions.
With the start of CarcC I looked here inside, I was first only interested in the fan-expansions and also the CAR.
At almost of the end of the old forums there was a problem. Someone was sold the fan expansions with a professional layout at ebay. I had not the direct contact and rights here at CarcC at that time. I was only a little member. I know that Matt Harper was a teacher at a university here in Germany. So I called him directly at his job during his office time (not teaching time). When he came home he contacted me by call and we discuss (of course in German) the problem we had.
And Matt contacted then the authors and admins of this forum about the issue and also he contacted HiG. I've also called with HiG about this problem.
Matt Harper was in that time not active. My English was very bat. Before I contacted Matt Harper, I tried to explain the situation to Scott and Gantry - they didn't understand the real problem.
That is one story from me about the old times.

Cool to hear that the site is back up. Although I haven't been active for several years and hardly even get the chance to play nowadays.
I did make quite a few fan-made expansions myself.
This is the first time I have logged in for a couple of years.
Hi wicke, I am happy to see you here again. I also didn't play Carcassonne for a long time.
