I see. So this box would be used by those that have CK&C and are looking for a tuckbox just for the Count tiles. So using the same watermark makes sense.

Scott, would it make more sense to use a silhouette of the Count meeple instead of a crown? I think that will be confusing with the King.

Do you have Sea Farers and Cities & Knights? Those two are a must, along with the 6 player expansions for all three sets. The Fishes expansion is worth while.
We have a huge Catan game scheduled tomorrow night. We usually play the Base game with Sea Farers. Once in a while we mix in Cities & Knights - that depends on the mix of people we have. Tomorrow night we will have 8 players which is a common thing for us (we painted two sets of figures in Yellow and Purple). We use the All Caps border pcs from Sea Farers - as though you were setting up for 6 players, then add in a couple more single X pcs to expand the board. We prorate the land tiles and water and add in the extra tiles. (we actually took two of the "River" mini expansions and cut up the tiles so we could add 6 more tiles on top of all the tiles we had available from the three sets.) All the tiles are placed face down in one of the box lids, shuffled, then flipped face up into place on the board in random fashion. The result is anywhere from 3 islands to 7 islands or so. We almost alway plays with Fishes. It makes for a very interesting game - and a boat load of fun!!

Unfortunately, Christof Tisch's answer does not answer obervet03's question, nor was he asked that question in the BGG post. It's too bad his illustrated examples also don't answer the question. Coincidentally, or not, they only show nearest ferries that are already situated on the the road that is being extended.
The question restated is - if I place a tile that extends a road connected to a ferry tile where the ferry is not connected to that road, but rather to two other roads on the ferry tile, do I still get to move the ferry?

it still might be nice to have it on the cover - perhaps in the center of the box images? Giant meeples are cool. 
Heh, I wrote a big long paragraph citing case law and precedence, going on about how adding a watermark does'nt mean the publisher didn't just re-release the base set disguised as an expansion - when I thought "You know what? Scrap that idea. This argument is just silly."  But - for the sake of being "complete" I think 10thAnn should be included. I will sleep ok tonight if it isn't though. I do find it commical however that we are contemplating making up boxes for those that don't have one...while discounting those that do.

Shouldn't we include the 10th Anniversary meeple shaped box? Wasn't that the actual release packaging for the 10th Anniversary tile expansion? Or am I off on that one?
What about the Meeple stickers - are we discounting them? They did come through Speilbox but I suppose they are not an actual expansion.
About the 10th Anniversary edition, I bought it separately as stated on BGG: "This expansion was originally packaged with Carcassonne: 10 Year Special Edition, but was also sold separately by some retailers." Only thing new in there was the Festival expansion. We already have the base game in there.
You are right, Meeple stickers are not considered an actual expansion.
It does seem to me that if we include Wheel of Fortune we have to include the Anniversary addition for consistency. They are both "base game" releases with an Expansion included. I cannot draw a distinction between the two.

Odd tiles
Does this tile have four farms or two? John's guess: Four. Otherwise people will start arguing about every bridge in the game!
Correct. Bridges are considered to be roads.

What do you think about that? Should we trust the new interpretation of the rules?
IMHO the John Sweeney interpretation is to be discounted, with all due respect. It never settled correctly in my mind that the fields did not pass under the bridge. It is a bridge, not a road. (By the way, if you inspect John Sweeney's site he also states that pigs and builders are still followers.) I believe his site has old information included and should be considered a reference only.
