Who told you about the Tower? Alliance or Z-Man? A few days ago when Kalinda posted on the Z-Man Facebook page she didn't know which expansions were being released in Q2.
-
perhaps you have to ask Sophie Gravel - the management (filosofiagames)
-
Yes, I've been given the impression by Kalinda that some plans are kept secret until just before release. Sophie would probably know sooner in advance since she is the CEO. Do you have an e-mail address for her?
-
Yes of course I have.
I think I sent it to you some month ago by email.
I'll sent it to you again.
-

Alliance - but release dates seem to always get pushed out. Sophie would know for sure.
-
I sent an e-mail to Sophie and got an auto-response that she is away from her desk indefinitely. Let's see how long "indefinitely" is.
-
Well, it does seem a bit obvious what the next releases will be...
If they'll keep releasing 3 expansions at once and keep the German release-schedule it might look something like this:
Feb. - Inns & Cathedrals, Traders & Builders, The Princess & The Dragon
Jun. - The Tower, Abbey & Mayor, Count King & Cult
Oct. - Catapult, Bridges Castles & Bazaars, New 2013 Expansion
Nov. - Winter Edition
They might throw in Wheel Of Fortune, or save it for next year. They might save their unique expansions (Corn,Plague,Tunnel?) for next year as well...
Just a guess.
-
Spielbox expansions are not included in the license agreement, so we won't be seeing CP&T.
I suspect they might be working with a quarterly release schedule, so I would revise your prediction like this:
February: I&C, T&B, P&D
Q2: Tower, A&M, CK&C
Q3: Catapult, BC&B, WoF
Q4: Winter Edition, Gingerbread Man, Minis
-
What will that leave for 2014? River I is included in the base game...though it could also release separately. We are still unclear if Z-Man can/will produce Cult, Siege & Creativity (or a similar product). I think that will only leave Corn Circles I, The School, and Wind Rose as official (albeit harder-to-obtain) expansions. I completely agree with your prediction, Scott.
-
2014 could see the re-release of the standalones. I'd be surprised if the School got released here; that was a promo/fundraiser more than anything.
-
The school is a special "project" - that belongs only to HiG and their "Rhainbow over Ghana".
-
Too bad they have to start with the [already] published expansions...
Will Filosofia follow suit (as in wait to release new expansion) or are they on their own schedule and will hopefully release new expansions sooner?
-

Jay had approval for the School and had plans to release it after CC, P, & T..... so hopefully Z-man Games will have the same approval.
-
Filosofia is on a different release schedule because France is a separate license from North America.
The following are already published by Filosofia Games:
Carcassonne
I&C
BC&B
A&M
T&B
P&D
The Minis
Carc: Dice Game
Cardcassonne
and the previous Big Box
The latest Big Box will be published soon.

Once again, Plague and Tunnels are Spielbox exclusives that Z-Man does not currently have rights to. They'd have to negotiate new terms to use those expansions. School and Corn Circles I they could publish currently, assuming there is no restriction because of the Rainbow Over Ghana campaign.

I think you misunderstood... Jay from RGG had plans to release The School after releasing CC,P,&T. Since Z-man Games took over before then, the hope is for ZMG to release The School as it doesn't involve the Spielbox license and Jay had approval from HiG to release it. But alas, I am sure this won't become available until 2014
-
There is no misunderstanding. You seem to be overlooking the fact that RGG and Z-Man are different companies with different contracts and licenses. Here, this may help:
Spielbox Expansions (Z-Man not currently licensed to resell)
The Cathars
The Cult (but available in CK&C)
The Tunnels
The Plague
Little Buildings
Hans im Glück Exclusives (Z-Man maybe is able to resell)
The School
The Festival (exclusive to 10th Anniversary Edition)
Rio Grande Exclusives (Z-Man probably does not have license to resell)
Cult, Siege & Creativity (Cult will be in CK&C, without the extra tile, Siege is exclusive to RGG, Creativity is...dumb)
Corn Circles, Tunnels & Plague (also, see Spielbox above)
The Mini Expansion (Games Quarterly exclusive)
Hans im Glück Select (Z-Man can resell)
Corn Circles I
The River I
The Phantom
Winter-Edition: Gingerbread Man
Hunters & Gatherers: The Scout (now detached from The King & Robber Baron)
-
We are speaking the same language. ;) The topic was The School. I brought up RGG had plans to release it. HiG approved this without issue, so there shouldn't be any issue with ZMG getting approval, all they need to do is ask HiG. I was denied approval to resell The School as RGG had plans to release the English version. Otherwise, I would already have The School for resell to all. Not disputing The Plague or Tunnel, this is Spielbox and ZMG doesn't have approval (yet!)
-
The school is a special "project" - that belongs only to HiG and their "Rhainbow over Ghana".
I had a telephone call today with HiG - Georg Wild.
Basically it is possible that their licence partner could publish this little expansion.
But for each of the school expansions "Rhainbow over Ghana" would become their
part, because for that school project (to build a school).
-
So Alliance has The Tower listed at $19.99 MSRP instead of the normal $17.50. I wonder if the ZMG version will have something new or if its simply a markup like they did on the base game + river? Guess we will see soon hopefully!
-
I haven't seen anything here regarding the possibility of a River II release. Does z-man have the rights to release it, or will it never be printed again?

Z-man released the 1.-3. expansion last month. This month is coming the 4. expansion "The tower"
The next would be the 5. and the 6. expansion.
In the 6. expansion (German: Carcassonne 6. Erweiterung - Graf, Koenig und Konsorten) is the river II included.
-
Thanks...I haven't seen anything 'official' from z-man on that just yet. Of course I can grab Graf, König und Konsorten in the US right now or $25 (after shipping). Enjoying Big Box 3 with my family for now, and BGG rates Graf, König und Konsorten a little lower than some other expansions out there...so I'm not sure if I should grab it now or wait for a future release.
-
Z-Man announced this week that The Tower was back in stock at Alliance. Still no word on the next release.
River II is included in the license agreement, so it will be reprinted, the question is whether it will be sold separately or bundled. I expect bundled with King, Count, and Cult.
-
I expect bundled with King, Count, and Cult.
Which would suck. Sure, do that, but also release expansions separetely, so in case you have missed one earlier you do not have to buy doubles. HiG showed how little they care about their fan-base with Graf, König und Konsorten (releasing old and new stuff bundled). Rio Grande did a better job in that case.
The situation is not excatly the same, but I would strongly advice against a bundle without an alternative.

I agree. I'm very new to the world of board gaming and Carcassonne is definitely one that drew me in. I purchased Big Box 3 at a reasonable price, but from reading through all the rules (and reviews), I just can't see myself wanting/desiring Count, King, & Cult bundled with River ii. I'd love to own River ii, but the others are just of little interest to me at this time. I & C, T & B, P & D and A & M are good extensions for my current gaming...i just need a river(!), and nobody has or sells them alone anymore. And paying $25-30 just to get a river isn't going to happen.

Z-man games belongs to filosofia games.
Filosofia games published all the expansions 1-8 in French.
Why shouldn't Z-man games publish the 6th expansion for the English speaking world?
-

I think you misunderstood. They should publish the 6th expansion for the English speaking world...in fact, I hope they do! However, they should also publish river or river ii separately, as was done with the rio grande edition.
-
I don't see it as being likely, but I'll certainly pass the comments along to my contact at Z-Man.

Wow, thanks! 8)
-
Just received confirmation from Kalinda at Z-Man Games: the large expansions are being published in order with no plan at this time to publish anything separately. Neither River 1 nor 2 is being published separately. Cult is not being published separately.
Kalinda receives many emails and Facebook messages asking for separate small expansions. She has no decision-making power, but she passes your requests along to those that do.
The next release will be Abbey & Mayor, and after that will be Count, King & Consort. The dates of these releases are not set in stone yet, so there will not be an official announcement from Z-Man until they figure that out.

Okay, so Z-man seems to be as inconsiderate towards the fan-base as HiG. Pity.
Bundles are never a good idea, but they are outright stupid if you (customer) have no alternative. If you want to buy River II, which has been out of print for a long itme, you now also must buy a lot of stuff that you probably already own, or at the very least: that you possibly could own. Personally I would consider buying a River II box since there are a few tiles that show wear, but I will *never* buy a bundle with other useless tiles in it.
This is why licensing is bad!
-
I sympathize with your position, but I don't view either publisher as being deliberately inconsiderate. It has been several years since the small expansions were released and people had plenty of opportunity to pick them up. The "compilation" supersedes the individual small expansions. Some people will buy the new version, and those who don't want to can buy the individual ones used from other players. If you want to be angry, direct it towards the people who sell used expansions on eBay for more than what they paid for it.

Well, I can grab Count, King and Cult (German release) now for $25...or I can wait - and assuming Z-man will include River II - I can buy it later this year for a cheaper price. Hmmmm...decisions, decisions...
-

No. People can sell whatever they want for whatever price they want. It is up to me (and others) to decide if I (or they) want to buy it or not. Z-man just made a decision which will result in one less expansion sold.
Feel free to encourage them though. If bundles are good, then they should only sell Big Boxes, right? Preferable new editions every year, mixing the new expansions (which sadly will be released) in with old stuff, so that we all will have to buy everything many times over. Great for business, would you not agree?
-
No, I have to disagree with that. There's a subtle difference between a BigBox compilation and permanently combining small expansions into a large expansion.
-
No, I have to disagree with that. There's a subtle difference between a BigBox compilation and permanently combining small expansions into a large expansion.
Not really. The result is the same: if you want a certain expansion you will most likely end up with things you already have. That is the whole reason (I think?) as to why RGG released the Cult, Siege & Creativity box. And although the Creativity part of it is rather useless, at least you did not get old stuff bundled with new. You did not have to buy the same thing twice.
-
The river and the river II, king&scout also the Count were a give away at the Spiel in Essen.
In the past HiG had in their download section the river and the river II, the king&scout also the shrines.
Many people haven't the minis because they weren't at the Spiel in Essen.
Also the CundCo Shop didn't exists at that time.
But not all the people like to make their tiles for themselves - they like to have original tiles.
Yes and there were some people who sold the selfmade download river for example at e-bay...
HiG didn't like that - so we have no downloads there. But the people have the choice to buy the original tiles in the 6th expansion.
I think the production to that time for each little mini would be to expensive...
Perhaps that might be a reason that HiG decided to put the minis together in 6th expansion box.
All the license partner published the 6th expansion (for example 999-games, Lutapelit, filosofia games), only RGG not - so the English speaking world had not the 6th expansion...
RGG lost his license (ok there are some other reasons...) - not the other publisher.
-
I don't understand why someone would complain about them releasing Count/King/Cult bundled together as one expansion.
The way I see it... I paid 15 euro for The Catapult which was 12 tiles. I paid 15 euro for Bridges, Castles And Bazaars which was 12 tiles.
I also paid 15 euro for Count/King/Cult which was 36 tiles! If you already own The Count or The Cult, just sell the extra copies on Ebay.
Worked for me...
-
so the English speaking world had not the 6th expansion...
The "English speaking world" got new stuff though, not old bundled with new. RGG did the right choice and showed consideration towards the fan-base.

Good on you! Quite a lot of people will also use the excess tiles to make fan-made expansions, which is something I have nothing to say about. Find a use - all the power to you! It is hard to believe, however, that Z-man's intent is for their products to be either sold off or turned into something else. Of course, as long as it is sold they would not care, which is why they will not sell that particular bundle to me. Consumer power, simply. In no way, shape or form do I wish to regulate or impose regulation upon a company. I do, however, reserve the right of voicing my opinion.
The descision to bundle stuff without offering the option to buy the items separetly is a blatant show of disregard for the fan-base. It is a way to show that you do not understand the whole "supply and demand"-thing. It is the same reason, pretty much, why I do not own Wheel of Fortune: it is old content packed with new.
-
No, I have to disagree with that. There's a subtle difference between a BigBox compilation and permanently combining small expansions into a large expansion.
All this whining and griping. I voluntarily bought CK&C three years ago and gave my single expansion boxes to friends. Now all the tiles that were included in that compilation have watermarks, which I much prefer. I think Count, King & Cult is a great little expansion which I fully support. Great value for your money too!
-
I'm definitely planning to pick up another copy just to get the watermarks. I bought Wheel of Fortune, and I bought the 10th Anniversary Edition. I have no regrets, but I am a completist.
In this case of CK&C, it's old bundled with older. Nothing new is being released until at least October. Z-Man Games is doing exactly what they did in France (Z-Man and Filosofiagames are run by the same people), and they're following what HiG does in Germany. Z-Man has much more regard for the fan base than RGG ever did. Whenever we would contact Jay, he would never give complete answers. With Z-Man, Kalinda is happy to tell me anything that she knows. I've also had good communication with her manager, Martin Bouchard, and kettlefish has had good communication with the CEO, Sophie Gravel. HiG has excellent regard for their fan base with their Carcassonne-on-Tour events, fan meetings, meeple kubb, and regular telephone conversations with kettlefish.
I won't fault anybody that would like certain things which are not currently offered, but I feel that insulting the publisher(s) is not the appropriate response.
-
Great value for your money too!
Unless, of course, you already owned all the old stuff. But yeah, "whining" is always what the person who do not agree with you does.
I won't fault anybody that would like certain things which are not currently offered, but I feel that insulting the publisher(s) is not the appropriate response.
The only insult here is made by those that have no regard for the people who love their product. Who love it so much that they want to buy all of it, but maybe not so much that they want to buy it twice or thrice. I also bought the 10th anniversary edition, kept the "expansion" and sold off the rest. Do you really meant that *that* is what we all should do? Is it Z-man's or HiG's wish that their products should be divided and spread through Ebay or other such systems? I find it hard to believe.
All I say is that the consumer should have an option! A choice! Why that is a bad thing I will never understand. To say that it is expensive is not an argument. It is not more expensive than anything else they produce. There does not even need to be a tuck box; a simple plastic cover would be enough (Like with GQ11).
As far as I can see no one has presented any real arguments against this, but it is of course easier just say that I "whine", than it is to actually say anything about the topic at hand.
-
At the CundCo Shop you can buy the Count, the River I, the School, Gingerbread Man at the moment.
And the Spielbox has the Shrines.
Only the River II isn't there for selling.
HiG has sometimes this or that mini or some games in their CundCo Shop.
The games at the CundCo Shop:
The Wheel of Fortune
and some other spin off games from the Carcassonne world...
------------------------------------------------------
The next Spiel 2013 in Essen is coming in October - perhaps with some surprising??? ;D
-
I'm not nearly as vocal as some others here, but I do wish Z-Man would consider releasing some of the smaller expansions (river, river ii, king, etc.) as separate expansions rather than all bundled up. My profession doesn't give me an annual salary anywhere near 6 figures, and spending $25 on a bundle rather than $6 on what I'd really like to have matters to my budget...a lot.
With that said, I understand that Rio Grande published things like King and Scout, River II, etc., and then released the German edition of Count, King, and Cult which people *had* to buy even though they already owned most of it through the smaller expansions. Those buyers were upset with the bundle for a different reason than I am.
Therefore, I understand that Z-man certainly cannot make all people happy all the time. It's impossible to do. Still, I'm now at a point where I'm forced to decide whether I want to 1) Buy a new Z-man Carcassonne game for $20-$25 in order to get a copy of the river and have a bunch of extra tiles or 2) Buy a copy of the German release of Count, King, and Cult for $25 to get a copy of River II, and have 3 other expansions I'll rarely use. Or maybe 3) Save my money and put it towards a new game in the future, such as Stone Age, or Flash Point: Fire Rescue. Again, my budget doesn't permit me to do all-of-the-above, so a choice must be made. And the choice would be so much easier if I could grab a river/ii for $6 or less.
-
This string of posts also makes me believe that Z-Man doesn't have any intentions of reprinting Hunters and Gatherers with Scout expansion and/or Ark of the Covenant. Is that so?
-
Haven't heard anything regarding spinoffs, but I'll ask. I doubt that Ark of the Covenant is part of the license agreement.
-
For some unfathomable reason Ark of the Covenant is very easy to get in Sweden, so if swedish rules does not bother you I can hand over some links. I have no idea what the shipping cost might be though.
-
Here is the response I got regarding the spinoffs:
Many of the Carcassonne expansions are still being discussed. Since I am not a part of the editorial discussions, I do not know which ones are still on the table as we speak.
Once we know what we are doing and when it is coming out, we will announce it on our page and I will surely let you know. :)
-
Hello. First time poster here. I apologize if this has been covered in this thread. I read it all, but I might have missed something...
Do we have any confirmation anywhere that ZMG is going to release a bundle with The River II? I, for one, would prefer it in the form of a bundle. I only own the 6 mini's, base game (w/ river), I&C, T&B, P&D, and The Tower. So any word on more ZMG released coming soon would be awesome. I dont want to pay a lot of money to ship foreign ones over here.
-
I believe they have confirmed a future release of Count, King & Cult, which also includes River II, so yes.
-
Welcome to the CarcC Forum Mike_From_5_to_7! Glad to have you along!
Haha - I'm trying to understand if that is a 2 hours shift? or a 14 hour shift? :o
-
Update from Z-Man Games:
Hello Scott,
It indeed has been a while since we touched base!
Here's what I know:
- Expansions 5-6-8 should arrive in our warehouse this week. So in US stores in october.
- Restock of expansions 1-2-3-4-5-6-8 will be coming late October.
- Winter edition will be releasing late October, we should be able to announce a date soon, watch for it on our Facebook ;)
Other than that, that is pretty much it on the Carcassonne news front for now.
And thank you for wanting to help us promote Carcassonne Winter :)
Have a great day,
Kalinda Patton
Communications
I've updated the first post in this thread. Note that the Catapult is not getting reprinted. ;D
-
I doubt it's never getting reprinted by Z-Man, I just suspect it is at the bottom of their list. The fact that they are referring to the expansions by number is also welcoming since RGG dropped that beginning with #6 (which they didn't print standalone). No word on Wheel of Fortune yet, either.
-
Do we know what these numbers cross reference to according to Z-Man?
-
Do we know what these numbers cross reference to according to Z-Man?
I am not sure what you mean Carcking.
All what I know is that Z-man is following the numbers of the expansions like HiG.
-
1. Inns & Cathedrals
2. Traders & Builders
3. The Princess & The Dragon
4. The Tower
5. Abbey & Mayor (arriving this week)
6. Count, King & Robber (arriving this week)
7. Catapult
8. Wheel of Fortune (arriving this week)
9. Bridges, Castles & Bazaars
The only expansions that aren't being printed right now are Catapult and BC&B. I suspect BC&B will be printing again towards the end of the year or early next year for restocking.
With regards to mini expansions:
- the River is already included with the base game
- King, Count, River 2, and Cult are now Expansion #6
- Corn Circles 1 and The Phantom should be included in the Z-Man agreement, but are not on the production schedule
- The Festival is probably also included in the Z-Man agreement, but is not on the production schedule. Will be available from Cundco next month.
- 6+1 minis are still in stock from the first printing by Rio Grande, and therefore not on the production schedule. Will probably get reprinted when stock runs out.
- The Windroses are currently exclusive to Carcassonne-on-Tour, but it's possible that Z-Man might be allowed to print this after the general release on Cundco.
Not part of the Z-Man agreement:
- Siege/Belagerer (exclusive to RGG/Mueller)
- GQ11 expansion (exclusive to Games Quarterly magazine, now defunct)
- Cathars, Tunnel, Plague, and Little Buildings (exclusive to Spielbox)
- The School (my gut tells me that this was a one-time print run, but you never know)
-
...
6. Count, King & Robber (arriving this week)
7. Catapult
8. Wheel of Fortune (arriving this week)
9. Bridges, Castles & Bazaars
The Number 8 here - Wheel of Fortune - runs at HiG as a special edition like the Winter-Edition or the Travel Carcassonne.
It is not only an expansion.
The correct number 8 is: Bridges, Castles and Bazaars.
I called with HiG today:
It is what I have told you in a previous posting- Z-Man follows the same numbers like HiG.
8. Bridges, Castles & Bazaars (arriving this week)
Wheel of Fortune is a special edition. You can get it at CundCo Shop.
-
Not part of the Z-Man agreement:

- GQ11 expansion (exclusive to Games Quarterly magazine, now defunct)
- Cathars, Tunnel, Plague, and Little Buildings (exclusive to Spielbox)
- The School (my gut tells me that this was a one-time print run, but you never know)
I think here comes a confusion:
- Siege/Belagerer (exclusive to RGG/Mueller)
Correct is:
- Siege (exclusive to RGG)
---------------
- Belagerer - the publisher is HiG (Mueller is not a licence partner - it's only a supermarket)
My explaining:
The Big Boxes: We have here in Germany a supermarket called Real Kauf. Only there you can regular buy the Big Boxes for around 30 EUR. You can find the Real Kauf in many towns here in Germany.
The same is with Mueller. That is also a supermarket but here in the north of Germany we have not much of them. I have to travel around 40 - 60 km and Maik has to travel almost 100 km to such a Mueller supermarket.
I decided not to travel and not to buy the tin box with the Belagerer, because one day we will get the 6 tiles at CundCo.
Also Z-man Games will have their own Shop.
And they will sell also the articles from the CundCo Shop.
(the clarification about Mueller is the second part of my telephone call with HiG today)
-
- Cathars, Tunnel, Plague, and Little Buildings (exclusive to Spielbox)
Didn't RGG have an agreement with Spielbox at one point (just before they lost all Carcassonne rights)? I wonder why Z-man cannot get a similar agreement.
I decided not to travel and not to buy the tin box with the Belagerer, because one day we will get the 6 tiles at CundCo.
I thought that was unconfirmed?
-
- Cathars, Tunnel, Plague, and Little Buildings (exclusive to Spielbox)

It is cancelled - and Z-man Games follows HiG.
I decided not to travel and not to buy the tin box with the Belagerer, because one day we will get the 6 tiles at CundCo.
I thought that was unconfirmed?
We have to wait a year or so...but HiG don't say never...more like later not yet.
-
Last time I was at one of my local stores, there were two Phantom expansions left for 7.35 USD / 5.62 Euro each. I believe they were Blue and Black.
Should snag these just in case? I got a Blue one already, figure worth getting them for others.
-
Thanks for the clarifications kettlefish!
-
Yes, thanks for the clarification on the numbering of the expansions. You confirmed that Z-Man is following in step with HiG.
-
I'm certainly pleased that ZMG is bringing out those expansions - I've been waiting ages for my LFGS to ship them to me!
I'm also prepared to wait until the cundco shop has the Belagerer expansion - hey I've been waiting long enough for some major expansions! :-)

Local store listing the new release of Count, King and Robber for 25 USD (159 Swedish Krona) with status 'not released yet'. I take it, though, they mean it's on it's way since it's been released? Swedish store is http://www.sfbok.se/asp/artikel.asp?VolumeID=128748 (http://www.sfbok.se/asp/artikel.asp?VolumeID=128748)
Looking forward to buy more Carcassonne! :meeple:

Here's some potentially tragic news:
Hello Derek,
We do not plan to release Carcassonne the Catapult, or Carcassonne Wheel of Fortune.
Hunters & Gatherers is currently being discussed, but I do not know if the possibility of including the Scout expansion is also being discussed.
As for Carcassonne The Castle, it is not in the plans at the moment.
Have a great day,
Kalinda Patton

While Catapult won't be much of a loss, I'm a bit surprised that they have no hard plans about Hunters & Gatherers or the Castle.
-
I think that The Castle is easy to find it at ebay, amazon or any game suppliers.
-
I am with you on Hunters & Gatherers. it's a nice little spin-off and change of pace.

I think it would be good to bundle the Scout with Hunters & Gatherers, though that might make Tobias angry?
I want to discourage everyone from jumping to conclusions regarding The Castle. When Kalinda says that something is not in the plans right now, that doesn't mean they won't reprint it. All it means is that they haven't talked about it yet. When they first got the contract, there was no plans to reprint anything other than the base game, but the expansions have come. To try and deal with the entire franchise at once would be too difficult, so they break it into manageable pieces.
-
I figured as much, and I actually suggested Scout with H&G in a combo box, but she didn't comment on that.
-
Kalinda is just as much in the dark as we are, and has no decision-making power, but she is able to pass on our suggestions to the people that do.
-
I have my meeting with HiG at Spiel 2013 also I will go to the booth from ZMG, there I can ask Sophie Gravel...

Not at all. It is bundling old and new stuff togheter that I oppose.
It is much better to include the Scout tiles with the base game than to offer an expansion for two different games anyway. Split expansions are just bollocks.

In April 2014 Z-Man Games will have the Minis 1-6 with the tuckboxes.

Thanks for pointing that out but you missed one, :red-meeple:
The Festival - http://zmangames.com/product-details.php?id=1490

Looks like Festival and School are going to be direct copies of the German, with German translations included. Not too surprising, though I don't remember The School including an English translation...maybe it did. It's been a while. All that's left after this is The Phantom, The Besiegers, The Corn Circles , Wheel of Fortune, and The Catapult. That's a pretty short list. I hope they get on with it soon!
-
The School was not yet published with an official rule in English yet.
That is new. And I really like to know the English translation of Zman games...
Does someone of you have the official English rule?
---------------------------
The Festival from the CundCo Shop:
10 landscape tiles
2 tiles with the rule in German and in English.
This rule is different than the original published rule from HiG.
-
From the picture on the website I'd say "The Festival" are the same tiles and rules as of CundC-Shop. The rules are on one tile for english, on one tile for german.

Zman Games did a facelift on the base game box art:

Sorry if this is mentioned somewhere else in this topic, but does anyone know if the Zman release of Hills & Sheep has the misprinted tile with the missing watermark? Or has that been corrected?
-
The first members at BGG already have the ZmanGames Version Hills&Sheep.
The tile has no watermark, the same is with HiG.
Perhaps with the next print without the mistake...
Here is the link to BGG:

Z-Man Games have a "New Edition" of the Base Game coming out soon. I can only suspect they are removing the River like Rio Grande Games had done, but will find out for sure when more info is available. Best grab the combo while you can!
-
I've also noticed a difference in box design and tile shading. It appears the box redesign of the base + River is marked with a "blue background" behind the C in the logo instead of the normal "gray background" behind the C. The only expansions with the same box design with the blue background are Hills & Sheep and the latest release of the Minis. Hills & Sheep has an image of the new base game redesign on the back of the box where as the other box expansions have an image of the first base game design.
When comparing the tile shading with "Blue C" tiles and "Gray C" tiles with both base and expansions, the newer tiles definitely have a darker shade. I am hoping they redo all of the expansions so to those that care about identical tile shading can rest easy :o
-
I really liked the interior of the Hills & Sheep box. I hope that they're not removing the River, but perhaps it will get replaced with the original Crop Circles like what happened in Germany?
-
With the latest edition released in the Netherlands, I wonder if Z-man Games is instead doing a base game + Die Klöster combo? Everyone is very tight-lipped on the new edition, can't even get a release date ::)
-
Hunters & Gatherers has officially been added to the Alliance Games distributor catalog for Zman Games! 2015 release, I am guessing this spring :green-meeple:
-
I hope it will include the Scout expansion.

I hope it will include the Scout expansion.
I hope so too! But I have my doubts.
