Question #1: The Gingerbread Man wants you to help him score this end-game scenario. How many points will each player score?

Answer #1: This end-of-game scenario shows the betting chips on two betting offices. We are assuming that all the players remember their bets perfectly and we will consider the choice providing them the most points.

At the end of the game, the remaining betting chips will be scored before the usual scoring of uncompleted features takes place. Each player will independently pick a feature for each betting chip to settle its bet. Let's proceed then:
- Blue:
    - The 2/6 chip will score 0 points, since neither the road nor the city on the betting tile will match those bets.
    - The 3/5 chip will score 3 points for the 3-tile road
- Red:
    - The 4/7+ chip will score 4 points for the 4-tile city.
- Yellow:
    - The 4 chip will score 8 points for the 4-tile city.
    - The 2/6 chip will score 2 points for the 2-tile city.

The usual end-game scoring will take place now:
- Blue will scores 6 points for the city ( (4 tiles + 2 coats of arms) x 1 point = 6 x 1 point)
- Red will score 2 points for the city (2 tiles x 1 point per tile)
- Yellow will score 3 points (3 tiles x 1 point per tile)

Bottomline:
- Blue scores 9 points (3 for one bet + 6 points for the city)
- Red scores 6 points (4 for the bet + 2 points for the city)
- Yellow will score 13 points (8 points for one bet + 2 points for the other bet + 3 points for the road)

Question #2: The Snowman completes this road on behalf of Red. How many points does each player score?

Answer #2: The placement of this tile completes a road occupied by Red and Yellow. Besides, the completed road also causes the Blue shepherd to be in a field completely surrounded, which will trigger the Guide the flock to the stable action for this shepherd automatically. Note that the mist banks limit the fields, the same as road and city segments or the haunted castle in this case.

As a result, Blue will score 5 points for the 5 sheep on the tokens. The shepherd will return to its owner and the sheep tokens to the bag.

Now let's score the completed road. Both Red and Yellow share the majority, but Red's guard meeple is placed on a hill. This way, the tie is broken and only Red will score 7 points for the road (7 tiles x 1 point per tile)

Bottomline:
- Blue scores 5 points
- Red scores 7 points
- Yellow scores 0 points

In this same scenario...

Question #2b: Which meeple gets a ghost?

Question #2c: Does it affect the scoring? Why?

Answer #2b: Yellow gets the ghost. The tile placed by Red extends the mist, so the player must add a meeple to an opponent's meeple, if possible. The only candidate is Yellow's normal meeple. The Blue shepherd is a special figure and cannot be added a ghost.

Answer #2c: No, the ghost does not affect the scoring. Since Yellow does not have the majority in the road, the player scores no points for the feature and no negative points for the ghost either. Ghosts only affect the scoring of those players with the majority.

Question #3: Santa Claus places this tile on Red's behalf. He has several questions for you:
a) How many points does each player score? (0-5 points)
b) What side of the tollhouse will be facing up at the end of this turn? (0-1 points)
c) After scoring, Blue would like to move the wagon. How many cities can the player choose from? Indicate if you are applying C1 or C2 rules in this case (0-1 points)

Answer #3: The placement of the tile completes two roads. Each one will trigger the scoring of the Red tollhouse too, but both roads will be scored with current value of the tollhouse. Each road also has signposts that will have to be considered for the scoring.

Let's address each road in turn:

>> The road occupied by Yellow

Red will score 5 points for The tollhouse (3 points for the group of travelers + 1 point for the farmhouse + 1 point for the shed).

Yellow[/u] will score 9 points (5 poins for the road + 4 points for the signposts):
- 5 points for the road itself (5 tiles x 1 point per tile)
- 4 points for the correct signposts (2 correct signposts x 2 correct types of signposts). Note the red and the blue arrows are correct, so there are 2 types of correct signposts and each correct signposts is worth 2 points.

>> The road occupied by  Blue

Red will score 5 points for The tollhouse (3 points for the group of travelers + 1 point for the garden + 1 point for the shed).

Blue will score 5 points (4 poins for the road + 1 points for the signposts):
- 4 points for the road itself (4 tiles x 1 point per tile)
- 1 point for the correct signpost (1 correct signpost x 1 correct type of signposts). Note the left red arrow is correct, so there is 1 type of correct signposts and the correct signpost is worth 1 point.

After the scoring is ended, the tollhose will be flipped over to show the large toll (2) due to the presence of the 2 groups of travelers on the roads (it would have been enough with one group of travelers). Note that the tollhouse is not flipped until the scoring is finished, so all the roads are scored with the same current toll value, as indicated in the rules.

Regarding the Blue wagon, depending on the rules applies, the outcome is different:
   - In C1, the wagon can only move to the unoccupied city segment at the end of the road, so the answer would be 1.
   - In C2, the wagon can move to any unoccupied city segments on the same tile or any adjacent tiles, so the answer would be 3 (the city segment on the same tile and the two adjacent city segments on the right). The city segment at the top is out of range.

Bottomline: Here are the answers to the questions:
a) The scoring:
   - Blue scores 5 points for their road
   - Red scores 10 points for the tollhouse (5 points + 5 points)
   - Yellow scores 9 points for their road
b) After scoring is ended, the tollhose will we flipped over to show the large toll (2).
c) Depending on the rules applies, the outcome is different:
   - In C1, the wagon can only move to the unoccupied city segment on the right, that is only 1.
   - In C2, the wagon can move to any of the 3 neighboring unoccupied city segments.

Question #4: Can you tell Danisthity how many points does each player score after this tile is placed?

Answer #4: The tile placed completes a road with 10 tiles which features a bridge, two tunnels connected by the yellow and black tunnel tokens and an Ukranian traditional house acting as an inn by the lake. There is a regular inn in the scenario but it is not connected to the completed road network. Note that tiles are counted only once, even if some of them contribute more than once to the road network considering tunnel entrances and bridges too.

Since Red has two meeples on the road whereas   Blue has only one, Red will the player scoring for the road. The player will receive 20 points for it (10 tiles x (1 point per tile + 1 point for the inn) = 10 x 2 points)

Note that the crop circle featured on the Ukranian Promo tile does not play any part in this scenario.

Bottomline:
- Blue scores 0 points
- Red scores 20 points for the road

Question #5: The Grinch demands an answer after this tile is placed! How many points does each player score?

Answer #5: The tile placement completes a road, a city and the German cathedral end the completing the road. Let's score each feature in turn.

>> The road

The road occupied by Blue has an inn, a German cathedral and a German castle. The Mage is on the road as well. Additionally, the two segments of the road ending at the German cathedral will be counted separately when scoring the road, but not the Mage.

Blue will score 30 points (21 points for the road itself + 6 points for the Mage + 3 points for the German castle):
- 21 points for the road itself ( ( 5 tiles + 2 road segments on the German cathedral tile ) x  ( 1 point for the road + 1 point for the inn + 1 point for the German cathedral) = 7 x 3 points)
- 6 points for the Mage (6 tiles x 1 point)
- 3 points for the German castle (1 German castle x 3 points)

>> The city

The city is occupied by Blue and Red. Both players share the majority and score for the city, but Red has a meeple on the watchtower tile, so the player will also score points for the watchtower, which will be scored first.

Red will score 6 points for the watchtower (3 neighboring meeples x 2 points per meeple). Note we are counting the two meeples in the city and Yellow's archbishop.

Besides, Blue and Red will score 6 poins each for the city (3 tiles x 2 points per tile).

>> The German cathedral

The Yellow archbishop will score 19 points for the two completed roads ending at the German cathedral (5 points + 14 points)
- 5 points for the road looping back to the German cathedral ( (3 tiles + 2 road segments on the German cathedral tile) x 1 point = 5 x 1 points)
- 14 points for the road occupied by Blue ( (5 tiles + 2 road segments on the German cathedral tile) x (1 point for the road + 1 point for the inn) = 7 x 2 points)

Note:
- The road considers the inn, the Mage and the German castle for its scoring.
- The German cathedral only considers the inn for its scoring as per the rules, but does not consider the Mage or the German castle.

Bottomline:
- Blue will score 36 points (30 points for the road + 6 points for the city)
- Red scores 12 points (6 points for the watchtower + 6 points for the city)
- Yellow will score 19 points for the German cathedral.

Question #6: After placing this tile on Red's behalf, the Gingerbread Man has the following questions:
a) Is there any ferry that cannot be moved? (0-1 point)
b) What is the maximum number of points Red can score for this road network after moving the ferries the player is allowed to? (0-5 points)

Answer #6: Only those ferries directly connected to the tile just placed can be moved, so the ferry bottom right cannot be moved.

If the ferry in the middle is moved to connect the other two jetties keeping same orientation "\", and the ferry in the middle right is switched from position "/" to position "|", the resulting road has 8 tiles. Therefore, Red can score 8 points for the road (8 tiles x 1 point per tile)

Bottomline:
a) The ferry bottom right cannot be moved.
b) Red can score 8 points for the road by moving the ferries.
