If we are not using the Robbers as score card meeples, they might be distinctive enough to use as Phantoms!

Robbers on the board... They musy be so happy to leave the scoreboard for once...

Are you getting real phantoms or teachers instead?
One of our players ordered a real set of Phantoms coming in the plastic meeple shaped box.
Totally addicted to this game

Cool! Enjoy it then...

BTW, if you would like to place the scoreboard in the middle of the table, you could use this C1 scoreboard variant that can be used as mega start tile. There are three versions that include no river sources, one river source or two river sources.

Would this make watching robbers and messages more egalitarian? ;)

OMG that is an amazing idea!

I downloaded the on line image and created a JPEG file

That can be printed on 8 1/2 x 11 photo paper with 1/8 inch borders.  The actual image size is 8 1/4 by 10 3/4.

The image is shifted to the right because my printer does not pick up thicker photo paper properly, but the printer image is the right size for a 6 tile by 4 tile centered scoreboard with two rivers!

Can't wait to surprise my group with the new "starting tile" for this weekend's games!

Glad to hear you liked it. I love these mega start tiles.

Did you trim the extra borders so the start tile has the correct size?

Please share with us their impresions... ;D

So far I have printed the image on “photo supreme high gloss” paper, and the only thick cardboard I have found is the backing for a pad of legal paper, but that cardboard is not as firm as Tiles and will be just a tad too thin, so still looking for the best backing.  I do own an X-ACTO paper trimmer that should do the proper job of trimming the final product to the exact size of 6 tiles by 4 tiles.

I’ll post a picture of our first final game board as soon as we create one!

I think my next “job” will be to recreate the JPG image with edge copies of current tiles, bring it up from C1 to C2!  Being 74 and very happily retired, I hated to use that word in quotes!

PS: One of the official rules we will have to implement will be that you can’t use a Tower Floor to capture a meeple from the score board :)

Have fun trimming the scoreboard. Can't you stick two layers of cardboard to the back of the scoreboard?

The scoreboard is a special area that so no figures on the scoreboard can be eaten by the dragon and no meeples among them can be captured by a tower. ;D

BTW, before working on the C2 version of the scoreboard, you should contact the creator of the original version and ask for permission. Otherwise, you should not share it and just do it for personal use. :-\
