OK, thanks. My big existential question of the moment related to carcassonne is to know if I invest in sleeves to protect my tiles.  ???

Wow, a complete set!

"Complete set" you say?

What do you use for protective sleeves? Those of Corinthians13 seem better adjusted.

Wouldn't it be the special limited edition of 2018 which sits above the wheel of fortune on the photo of the article ?

News and Events / Re: Christmas Present (2013) print-and-play expansion
« on: November 04, 2022, 06:07:04 AM »
Just when you thought you knew every Carcassonne expansion that had been published, one of your friends (BigBoss ) manages to stumble across this long-forgotten gem from nine years ago!

Christmas Present was released in December 2013 by the Hungarian publisher Piatnik through JEM - Játékos Emberek Magazinja as a print-and-play expansion. Although coinciding with the release of the Winter Edition, the artwork on the 64 cards was drawn from the decidedly non-winter original artwork by Doris Matthäus, though this expansion can work well with any edition.

This expansion is so similar to The Gifts (released 2021) that we suspect it may have served as inspiration. The original Hungarian version contains many more abilities, however, and the cards are divided into two separate decks of 32 cards each. Some cards are resolved immediately upon drawing, while others are saved for the right moment.

It’s unclear whether Piatnik ever produced any physical copies. The BGG entry showed zero owners of this expansion prior to registering my handmade copy. Is this the only physical copy in existence?

How did you manage to print the cards and cut them cleanly?

In the French BBox, there is no lag either.

General / Tile size travel, demo, for 2 editions
« on: October 20, 2022, 03:39:56 AM »

Could someone tell me if the tile sizes are the same between these 3 editions:
- Carcassonne travel edition
- Carcassonne demo game
- Carcassonne for 2

I'm convinced it's just a matter of craftsmanship, of the person making the cards! ;)
Whats is your craftsmanship ?

Wow! Never thought these promo tiles would become so popular.

We gave them all away as a gift to Carcassonne Spain members back in July 2022.

I'll keep you posted if we manage to print some more.

How are they printed?

Where does this info about Russian fake promos actually come from? - or is that just a rumor  ???

Honestly, I collect these promos passionately and would like to know how such a fake should be recognizable - but I suspect that there are no fakes at all   >:D

Except for "official homemade" productions with European C-tiles.

And if you are even deeper into the "", the following observation of the last years:
Not even the illustrious "P.h.e.y." fakes Russian promo tiles, or at least he has never offered them for sale on his usual platforms, in contrast to many other Carcassonne things.

If you mean the Russian promos with the "K" backwards - those are official printruns - just like the different shades of green.

By the way, "no kidding" I also like to collect carcassonne knock-offs, so from that point of view I would even be okay with Chinese Russian promo-fakes  :yellow-meeple:
But as much as I try, I keep finding only originals  ;)

Could you tell me which extensions or tiles have been tampered with?

Do you have pictures ?
