Santa Claus just arrived in The Nethelands and Belgium direct from from Spain... Ask any members from those countries. Ask them... ;)

From there he stopped at Carcassonne Central for the Christmas preparations...

This means the Advent Calendar Quiz is coming up... I will be required to work on that day and night to satisfy the Meeple Council. What will be the prize this year? It will be difficult to guess... as always!

I would argue it's not Santa Claus, but Sinterklaas, but close enough  ;D

I am VERY excited to have my brain electrocuted again because I have to read the whole Wicarpedia back and forth again and again when you will mix 15 expansions....  ;)

 I only hope THE GRINCH will not be there too often ... he is really really mean!!

In Germany we have 4 figures:
das Christkind - christ child (you cannot see it !) - in some families brings the gifts on 24th or 25th of December
der Weihnachtsmann - sort of santa claus - (you cannot see him!!)  in some families brings the gifts on 24th or 25th of December
der Nikolaus -  Saint Nicholas -  comes 6th of December and brings gifts to children who behaved well
Knecht Ruprecht - no existing translation - comes with Nikolaus on 6th of December; punishes children who did not behave well with the rod

When the Dutch brought Nikolaus (Sinterklaas) to the US, it then became Santa Claus and was used not on the 6th but at Christmas...
