HiG have today announced that there will be a special new Carcassonne Maps: Ukraine, that will be sold at Essen and Cundco afterwards.
All profits will be donated to a charity involved with helping the people affected by the war.

I've cropped the image, and tried my best CSI Enhancement...
didn't do much, but you can see a little bit on what cities are highlighted, and seems there might be an interesting new set of rules for the chips!

Good news - I'm seeing just the Ukraine map (not the tile) available to order on cundco.de.
Bad news - shipping to the US is quoted as 50 Euro.
One or five maps have the same shipping cost; however, as I mentioned some months ago in another post, the distribution and shipping here in the US could make it a bit extra pricey :( ($11 split intl shipping + $10-14 shipping and package within the US + $9 map and taxes) :-\

Pretty much shipping anything more than a few small items to New Zealand is €58, so I'm going too make the most of it. I'm planning on ordering the Taiwan and Ukraine Maps, and the English version of Mists Over Carcassonne, as well as the new mini expansion, the two promo tiles, and several other random things that I haven't picked up yet. I just hope that the Ukraine tile is still available when the Spiel '22 tile becomes available. Did anyone at Spielfest find out when the Spiel tile will be available online?

Thank you for the lifeboat, The Edge. It is greatly appreciated. I hope, like we all do, that the Oekraïne tile is not actually limited and it doesn't come down to that, but I will let you know if it does. As it stands, I can't justify two CundCo orders per year. Shipping alone makes it untenable.

I haven't picked up any non-US maps yet (thanks boardgamegeek!) so I'll be making a massive cundco order soon to try to justify shipping. I'll for sure be picking up all the rest of the maps, as well as spooky ghost night. I'll probably wait to place the order until Friday so that I can also get the Ukraine tile and the Bets at the same time (and maybe the spiel 22 tille? O.o)

How do you get this Essen tile? Is it going to be listed or is it a gift with purchases over a certain amount? Really don't know much about it.

How did this work at spiel in Essen. Just the same way like in the Cundco.de shop?

You had to spend at least €20, and you had to specifically ask for the Spiel tile

Do we have any idea when on the 14th it should be available? at 00h01 or more during business hours, like 09h00?
I know that people here will be fast to share the news, but for North American buyer, it needs a little more preparation :p
Also, what's their actual time zone? if you know.

They're based in Germany, so CET.
They're also human, and updates done by a human being, usually making a couple of changes one after the other. Sometimes in the morning. Sometimes in the afternoon. You'll probably be best to watch here for an update when it goes live!

8:35 am – CundCo staff must be having a sleeping in. I've been refreshing the page since their midnight but to no avail. Although in a funny twist, there was a glitch a few days ago and I was able to add the Bets expansion to my cart.

Cundco updates seem to be done manually step by step. Their staff does it during the morning as far as I seen other times in the past. So I wouldn't expect everything to be ready in just one go :'(

The release date has now been removed from the Ukraine tiles listing but it’s still not available.

The English version of Mists: is that the Z-Man Games version or is it a special Hans im Glück English version?

Both.
HiG on the cover. Z-man and HiG on the back. These copies were produced in the EU (The Netherlands I think). Later editions will be produced in the US for the US market.

They ran out of the English version of Mists over Carcassonne at Essen on the Saturday i think, i'm a bit surprised they didn't have extra stock back at HQ

My experience with them is limited, but CundCo's organization of orders and shipping being a mess is everything but surprising to me. Even this time, now Mists is available again, after not being available one hour ago? :)

Please note that the Mists that is showing on the English page, is the German version of the game. It was available before, but they took both the English and German copy off.
The German copy was still available through the german version of the site, and now again through the english version of the site.
The english version of Mists over Carcassonne does not seem to be available currently on cundco

How awful has the postage gotten for everyone else? It's nearly $18 just for a mini expansion plus 2 Ukraine tiles. Ordered due to fear of missing out. But postage which used to be reasonable to Australia is now doubling the cost of the order. Paid nearly double the cost of a large expansion all up. Was really hoping the Essen tile would be available to soften the blow. Apparently not!

I emailed Cundco about the Spiel 2022 tile and got this
Unfortunately it's not possible, the SPIEL tile is only available during the fair and our advent-season-sale.
So I wouldn’t hold back on getting the Ukraine tile
Still 20 euros postage to the U.K. is bonkers

There was a fan-version of a Ukraine map that was made by someone on the Czech forum. No idea if this is where HiG got the idea from, but it could be..
Alternatively, they have had the graphics for map-squares already in C2, so the easiest thing to do is to use those for this new map

That seems plausible. So the actual map being sold was not designed by CZ forum member.

The map of Ukraine is really not from the Czech forum.
I don't think we would have really come up with a combination of C3 guide and C2 map as nicely as HIG did!
I believe that the Map of Ukraine was created by a Ukrainian fan of Carcassonne.

Member or not. As I can say, a lot of us are members of multiple Carcassonne related forums like CarcC, CarcF.de or CarcCZ (CarcF.cz).
So tell if someone is member of this forum is partly incorrect, because a lot of members want just access to download section So they has to be registered there, made several posts to get access to download section.
Different is when do you publish own work, own expansion or something else.
I'm active member of all. So sometimes I'm acting as member of CarcC when doing stuff for WiCa sometimes as CarcCZ when doing expansions for this forum with their members.
So just notice... :)

Hi! Believe me or not, I got here accidentally. It's me you were talking about. I'm Maksym and I am the author of those fan map.
And I am not a member of CZ forum (I actually did not know about it until today).
I can even tell a little story about it, if you want.
Those old map was done completely by me and I did not puiblish it being afraid of some legal stuff. So it exists in only one copy now :D.
And later ruzzia invaded us and HiG decided to do their own Ukraine map. They were consulting with our Ukrainian publisher Feelindigo about it and so it happened that I knew him very well. And he knew about my map and asked me about my thougths about HiG's map prototype. And it was not good XD. Some parts of Ukraine were even just... not there. As far as I understand either after my feedback or after some internal decisions (I really don't know about it but of course hope it was me who influenced those decisions) map changed A LOT and it does look very similiar to mine now. Then there were another ukrainian Carcassonne fan with nickname T1 who suggested to add thematic mechanics to the map and here they are.
HiG was very kind to send me a copy of the map but I was not yet able to play it because I am in Poland as a refugee for (oh my god) almost 10 months now.
Today I knew that HiG and Feelindigo managed to collect 28000 EUR to Ukrainian charity foundation "Come Back Alive" that really does a lot to help us hold our ground. It's not that much but every penny matters!
Thank you all who took their part in this. You can do more, just ask internet about it ;)

They've now also got some maps and tiles from HiG and have distributed them to some partnering shops.
It's good to see and hear that there was influence for the new map from you, and great to see a fan-map influence the final product from HiG!
