Hi, while I have been playing Carcassonne for a while now, I found this forum just a few days ago because I had not been looking for a forum, since I have not had any questions/problems until now.
My questions is probably a simple one, but I did not find an answer, neither in wikicarpedia, nor by looking through all the threads.
In the Inns&Cathedral expansion are two "new" tiles, one where a road appears to lead through a monastery, and one where the road appears to lead through a city. For the "road-through-monastery", there is a clear rule that the road ends on either side of the monastery, but there is NO such specific explanation/rule for the "road-through-city", which could possiby indicate that the road continues through the city. We always played that the road ends at the city, but when I played recently with a new friend, we were wondering if that was indeed the correct rule/interpretation, or if the road continues through the city?
However, in the Abbey&Mayor expansion is a tile where the road leads partially into the city, then goes underground and exits outside the city in the field, and there is also a clear explanation that the road does indeed continue. So, now we believe we are playing it correctly that for the tile in Inns&Cathedrals, the road ends at the city.
Are we playing it correctly?
But maybe, since there is this specific explanation for the monastery but not for the city, it would be nice to pick that up in wikicarpedia and give a clear explanation for the city as well!?
THANK YOU!
