Will vote when I get to a PC. I'd love to have CC 1, especially because of the other configurations. I'll probably end up settling for a 2nd copy of CC 2 though at least to make Mega Carcs more interesting.
And to answer your question yes tunnels would be higher up for me on the order of things to make a complete collection.

I think I'm going to start calling it Carcassonne: Summer Edition.
This was a cartoon I did a few months back to highlight the loss of our beloved grey-meeple.

Do the drawers go right through, or is there a set either side?
Yes the 3 large drawers are accessible from either side, and are locked in place when the side compartments are up. The two smaller drawers fit on either side of the handle. I agree, looks most suitable. Did you have to make any modifications to the side with the meeples in (did it have fixed dividers)?
No need. It comes like that! =) All the dividers that you see are fixed, so you're stuck with that arrangement, but its worked pretty well for me so far =)

Here is my storage solution, thanks to "Stanley" Hardware.
All expansion tiles + some fan expansion tiles fit into the Slide out tray.
All meeples and extra bits fit into one side
The other side is just for odds and ends and double up of expansions, but plenty of room to put more stuff in there should by some miracle we get more expansions released.

This arrived as a Christmas present.
Wow I wasn't disappointed at all. Really liked the artwork, and the variation in the rules.
I need to play it some more for sure, but already this is up there with Hunter & Gatherers as my favorite variants.

I selected "other" because my opinion is
"I'm ok with Carcassonne II, but I'm not happy with the way they have done things and continue to do things. I will not buy anything in the Carcassonne II series until it contains something substantially unique or different from from whats in other Carcassonne variants."
So my explanation is this. The artwork is neither here nor there, its an update but not an improvement for me. I would have liked better artwork yes, but this wouldn't have made me "buy into" the Version II series any more than I already do.
If at some point they release some new major expansions that are exclusive to Carcassonne II, I'd be happy to purchase them along with the base game, in the same way that I purchase every base game I can that is a variant of the original Carcassonne. So far Carcassonne II has brought nothing new to the table (the Abbots don't count for me).
Reboots in other game lines happen all the time, but when do it, its usually to fix something that was broken, or to take things a different direction. At the moment I haven't seen that happen with Carcassonne II and I won't purchase anything until it does.

Great topic. I answered my top ten by asking myself "If I could play any game, what would it be?"
1. Samurai Favorite of Reiner Knizia's game. Shame about the anti-climactic game ending with the convoluted scoring.
2. Resistance Sue I enjoyed the game before, but with the newest expansions it just never gets old. Can play for hours and hours.
3. Keyflower Lucky to play it once or twice a year. The mix of mechanisms click with me. Great mix-up from game to game.
4. Powergrid New to this, but I'm hooked. I just can't get over how well this game is designed.
5. Carcassonne: The City My favorite Carcassonne base game. Much meatier than regular Carcassonne.
6. Cinque Terra With this I have no need for a 4-5 player version of Ticket to Ride.
7. Small World I'm a sucker for a game that has variable powers and abilities. Finding those HOT combos for different parts of the game keeps me interested.
8. CATAN Didn't play it until 2 years ago, but this classic is really fun for me when I play with people that play it to WIN.
9. For Sale A quick little bidding game that is great to take with you wherever you go.
10. Ticket to Ride: Nordic I love this until someone blocks my routes. Really Cut-throat.
I still love Carcassonne, but I only really enjoy it with my regular Carcassonne group.

I don't like it. They're changing the game, not just changing the art. The game had only five Followers/player for a reason. And the lack of inclusion of the Scout is a big mistake since it's not likely to be printed as a stand alone expansion again. Poor form, HiG. I disapprove. 
The extra meeples can be easily remedied... but not the scout tiles =( Is it possible the scout tiles are included in the 12 bonus tiles?

How would people feel about a "Disney Princess" Carcassonne or a "Peppa Pig" Carcassonne or a "Sex in the City" Carcassonne, because if you hate any of these things then you might understand how I feel about this...
Carcassonne could be the new monopoly! Don't you want to see your beloved game with multiple variants but adding barely any change in gameplay? In all honesty though I'd buy this version way before I'd buy 2.0 because this looks interesting for me. Space themed not so much Starwars themed.

Haha currently a German name is in the running if it's a girl... I guess a German manual is a possibility.

Thanks everyone. And yes it was meant to be subtle. I think there's probably still half of Facebook confused emoji code14] After 2 boys, we will be hoping for a daughter, but won't be disappointed either way. As my wife is dark skinned and I'm pretty white, this Meeple could be any tone in between Carcking Due date is end of August. Thanks again.
