News and Events / Forum downtime 3rd October 2021« on: October 03, 2021, 06:29:09 PM »
Hello all,
Earlier today the forum went offline, and upon investigation into the server logs some PHP files where present in the cache folder that had malicious code. I have cleared all the files in the cache, and the forum is now back up. Please post here if you find any more issues. I have enabled additional security rules at the server level to provide further protection. James GriffnHosting.com Administrator 3

Should be all fixed now. The backup had an error, and was causing the webserver to stay offline. Emails should be catching up now as well.
Thanks for your patience. 7

hmmm the time sync service seemed to be dead on the server. It is now fixed and at the correct time. Sorry about that.

Not sure why you keep getting up/down notifications from uptimerobot, but they are bogus. I also have the same monitor, and it shows solid uptime since 04/08/15. so why such a large difference? That's why i have switched to statuscake for all my monitoring...

Thanks for the update Kettlefish. I realize you can't update this thread while it is down, but I would like to keep a record here if possible. I will check both threads daily and I have Statuscake notifying me directly if there is an automated test problem.
Thanks!
