Question: Red places the last tile of the game. The player has the following questions:
a) How many points does each player score in the last turn of the game?
b) How many points does each player score after the game ends?
Notes:
* This question only uses normal meeples. No large meeples were used.
* We are considering the current rules for non-square tiles (C2/C3). If you use the C1 rules, please indicate so.
Answer: Depending on the rules applied, we will have two cases when dealing with the wonder tile:
* C1: the wonder tile is counted as 1 tile.
* C2/C3 (current default rules): each square space occupied by a wonder tile is counted as a separate tile.
Let's see each case in turn, starting with the current rules:
C2/C3 rulesa) Scoring the last turn:
Red occupies a completed city spanning across 2 square spaces on the wonder tile (the dirt patches limit the city) plus 3 regular tiles and 1 coat of arms. The city will be scored as a 5-tile city with a coat of arms. So, the player will receive 12 points ( ( 5 tiles + 1 coat of arms) x 2 points = 6 x 2 points)
Blue and
Yellow score no points.
b) Scoring after the game:
Blue occupies an uncompleted road spanning across 3 square spaces (1 regular tile and 2 square spaces on the wonder tile). The road will be scored as a 3-tile road. So, the player will receive 3 points (3 tiles x 1 point per tile)
Red occupies an uncompleted garden on the last tile placed. Its scoring will consider 2 square spaces on the wonder tile, which are counted as 2 tiles, and 2 other regular. So, the player will receive 4 points (4 tiles x 1 point per tile)
Yellow occupies a field with 1 completed 2-tile city. Note that the farmer is in a field that only touches the wonder and the dirt patches limiting it. Therefore, the field does not touch the city, so the city with Notre-Dame does not contribute to the field. As a result, the player receives 3 points for the field (1 completed city x 3 points)
Bottlomline: The answer to each question is as follows:
a) Scoring during the last turn:
*
Blue scores no points
*
Red scores 12 points
*
Yellow scores no points
b) Scoring after the game:
*
Blue scores 3 points
*
Red scores 4 points
*
Yellow scores 3 points
C1 rulesa) Scoring the last turn:
Red occupies a completed city including the wonder tile plus 3 regular tiles and 1 coat of arms. The city will be scored as a 4-tile city with a coat of arms. So, the player will receive 10 points ( ( 4 tiles + 1 coat of arms) x 2 points = 5 x 2 points)
Blue and
Yellow score no points.
b) Scoring after the game:
Blue occupies an uncompleted road spanning across 1 wonder and 1 regular tile. The road will be scored as a 2-tile road. So, the player will receive 2 points (2 tiles x 1 point per tile)
Red occupies an uncompleted garden on the last tile placed. Its scoring will consider 1 tile for the wonder tile, and 2 other regular. So, the player will receive 3 points (3 tiles x 1 point per tile)
*
Red scores 10 points
*
Yellow scores no points
b) Scoring after the game:
*
Blue scores 2 points
*
Red scores 3 points
*
Yellow scores 3 points
