Question #30: The game is over. How many points will each player score?
Answer #30: Let's score each feature at the end of the game:
* The uncompleted road occupied by the
yellow phantom with a ghost. The road has 3 tiles and an inn, so
Yellow scores -1 point for the road ( (3 tiles x 0 points for the inn) - 1 point for the ghost = 0 points - 1 point )
* The uncompleted city with the
blue Mayor and the
red guard meeple. Since the city has 2 coats of arms,
Blue (2 majority votes) has the majority against
Red (1 majority vote). So
Blue scores 6 points for the city ( (4 tiles + 2 coats of arms) x 1 point = 6 x 1 points)
* The Japanese building with the
yellow meeple placed as an abbot (i.e. sideways). The player will score 5 points (1 point for the Japanese building tile + 0 points for zero tiles in the column above it + 1 points for the tile in the column below + 2 points for the two tiles in the row to the left + 1 point for the tile in the row to the right).
* The uncompleted Japanese building with the
red abbot placed as a monk (i.e. upright) is worth 6 points (1 point for the Japanese building tile + 5 points for its five adjacent tiles). Note the adjacent vineyard does not provide any bonus points at the end of the game.
* The
blue shepherd scores 0 points at the end of the game, no matter the number of sheep in its flock.
* The uncompleted garden with the
blue abbot is worth 4 points (1 point for the garden tile + 1 point for each adjacent tile).
Bottomline:
*
Blue will score 10 points (6 points for the city + 4 points for the garden)
*
Red will score 6 points for the Japanese building
*
Yellow will score 4 points (-1 point for the road + 5 poins for the Japanese building)
