Hi Decar. Just wondering if you knew when registrations were likely to close? The reason I ask is that I'm meeting a few ex-colleagues on 31/5 at a board game café so I can (finally) introduce them to Carc. I've mentioned this tournament briefly to them and that I really enjoyed it last year. However, none of them really play board games so understandably they don't want to commit to this until they know whether they actually like playing it! Do you think they will have chance to sign up in a fortnights time, or do you envisage that it'll be too late should there be sufficient interest in the meantime? Cheers.

hello guys, i am also in if it is still possible. thanks for the pn. which expansion(s) will be played? or just the bg? i am not able to host a game but atm i have enough free time, so i can surely adapt to the hosts and to the opponents schedule.

Firstly a note for any newcomers to the forum. It's worth looking at your notification options so you receive emails for all updates on a thread. Otherwise you many only receive one notification until you next visit the forum and may miss important announcements.

You can change your settings here:

Last year's Welcome Tournament was broken into 3 Rounds of 3 groups:

Round 1 - 2 players - Basic Game
Round 2 - 2 players - Basic Game, River 2, GQ11, Cult,Siege
Round 3 - 3 players - The Phantom, Traders & Builders, The Tower, Corn Circles II

It's likely Rounds 2 and 3 will be different and the groupings will be based on number of players & locations.

I don't know about siege for a beginners tournament, but when I play with others who are new, I usually use:

River
Inns/Cathedrals
Traders builders
Maybe crop circles

I'm going to keep registration open for another few days - I suspect we'll stop at 12 or 15players!
