One game played so far: monwil vs rfielder.

Result: no surprises.

Looks like my non-winning streak from the first competition will hold steady. Somehow, someplace, there must be a reward for consistency....

One more game in - Andrew vs rfielder.

Result - shocking! rfielder won one!! 261 - 218.

Have not slept a wink since! Must have been due to the propagation delay from the new world to the home of the norse gods.

218 is a very impressive score as well - too bad it's a losing one!

I had about 10 moves where I required a tile with a city on 1 side to score a big city, but did it turn up. Well played rfielder. He could match everything I did.

For those checking the Group A webpage - I have made some minor changes.

- Removed one pdf document that was redundant.

- Added the spreadsheet that I am using to track scores and games played, if anyone is interested in the setup and formulas used. The spreadsheet is in Open Document format, created with LibreOffice. If you are an Excel user, I don't know if you will be able to open the spreadsheet.

Now that Carcking is back in action, Group A is moving forward quickly! He has a game scheduled for this Sunday with our friend from New Zealand, Andrew the Ambo. I will be hosting, if anyone wants to link in and view the game. Start time is 0700hrs EST..... now THAT is dedication!

That leaves just our friend from South America. Hopefully his life is settling down, and he will soon find time to participate.
