There's a few sellers that have translucent meeples available in the five standard colors, but has anybody seen a source for individual purple translucent meeples? I'm interested in getting a full set of eight to stick in my 10th Anniversary box.

No, I guess you have to buy 8 Phantom boxes,
and then sell them off (or give them away) without the purple meeple

Purple meeples were only available in the Phantom expansion. It's meant to be the gray players Phantom.

I bought a set of the clear from Ted so I could make Gray, Brown, White, Pink and Orange Phantoms to complete my 11 color set. I painted the edges like the Teacher.

Hi Scott,
I know you've got one more Phantom in purple with the latest surprising bag.
Dou you have now all eight phantoms in purple or do you need one more phantom?

I haven't opened that copy of the Phantom; it restored balance to my universe because now I have one of each Phantom box with the meeples still inside, and I have the six Phantom meeples from my extra set mixed in with the meeples in my ArtBin storage case. I don't think I can mentally handle removing the purple Phantom meeples from each box to make a set of 8.

I'm curious to know more about this "painting the edges" business. Does it look good? What kind of paint do I need?

Scott, what if someone else bought the full set of phantoms and removed the purple ones and sent them to you? Would that be ok with your OCD? Or would it be bad enough to know that this has happened?

Obviously quite an expensive way of doing things, just wondering if that would help!

OK, well I'm based in the UK and can get copies of The Phantom from Germany for about €8 (incl. shipping). If you want to try and set something up send me a PM. We could work out some sort of split cost since you would be getting just the purple phantoms and I guess I would keep / sell / give away the rest.
