Hello,

Has anyone in Canada or the USA had any experience dealing with Spiel Akademie? I ordered a Cult, Siege, and Creativity Expansion from them on April 3rd, received a letter from them on Thursday, but no package. What do I do in this situation? Should I get them to send me another package, or should I get a refund and order the expansion elsewhere? This is quite frustrating. $:-\$

Wow, that really sounds complicated. Did you take pictures of said envelope before opening it? (if it was open). I guess the first option would be to make a complaint with Paypal, right?

The expansion has been unavailable for quite some time now. Surprised you found anyone selling it!

The letter basically thanked me for my order, and to make sure to recommend them to others.

Sounds like something's gone wrong somewhere.

I think you should contact them - I had a look at their site, but couldn't see any reference to CS&C.
Given it was a Rio Grande expansion, I'm surprised you found one in Germany too!

Let us know how you get on. I'm sure some of our German-speaking friends will be able to help us if necessary!

I contacted PayPal, and I was able to turn my dispute into a claim. I will be getting my refund within 10 working days, whether that be from the seller or from PayPal.

I would not recommend ordering from Spiel-Akademie to anyone, as I have had a very negative experience from them.

Am I missing something here or did you literally just order something, pay for it, and then get a letter saying thanks and to recommend more customers... and that was it?

Did they not even care to mention the fact that they hadn't sent you what you'd ordered in the hope that you wouldn't notice it was absent? Or at least tell you that they were doing their best to source it and would get it to you as soon as they could (within 4 - 6 working years).

Sounds like you did the right thing requested a refund through PayPal. Hope you get a satisfactory resolution.

Nope, you’re not missing anything. That is exactly what happened. The seller will have a few days to get back to me before the PayPal dispute turns into a claim, and then I should receive a refund.

I'm sorry for you but my CS&C arrived safe and sound one month ago, from Spiele-Akademie, so seems there was some left a little more than a month ago...

As for you, the paypal dispute is the way to go sadly...
