Purple behaved somewhat erratically, and I went back and forth on whether or not I liked the result. Ultimately, I decided to re-do the whole batch, and the resulting purple is pictured above. Those people who ordered previously: I will send you a new purple phantom, free of charge.

I have 12 sets remaining; tell your friends!

In case you do this again sometime, I have a future idea: for white make a foggier meeple...maybe even an actual whitish one. That way, the clear meeple can be for the official "naked" colour.

Thanks for the interest, everyone; here are answers to a couple of FAQs I'm getting, in case others are wondering:

The unfinished, natural wooden meeple set is not represented in my alt-colored set for two reasons: 1) they aren't painted a color or even finished for that matter, leading me to believe they are intended by HiG as a sort of DIY, finish-yourself set. Certainly if I were to play with them "natural" I would at least put a clear coat of varnish on them to keep the oils from my hands from discoloring them. And 2), because the dye process is additive in nature I have no way to remove existing color to get clear phantoms. It's like the holy grail of phantoms; completely invisible!

Some people would like to see a lighter phantom for white. As mentioned, I can't lighten them very much with consistency via dye. My recommendation: use my "white" (which is a lighter gray than black) for gray, and use HiG's "gray" (light purple) for white.

I can try making other colors if people are looking for teal or lime or indigo or something, but there are costs involved for me (materials, time), so there needs to be enough demand for me to do it. That said, the five colors offered here exist because Decar showed interest and followed through, so I don't want to discourage anyone's ideas, either!

For those interested, here's some photos of my set from my I Love the Postman post

Orange & Brown

These five are all similar hues. From left to right, I'm using them as:

Pink - Notably clearer than the white, but certainly the pinkest of the bunch.
Purple - The grey follower from The Phantoms.
White - Not totally clear. Hopefully this means that if I ever get my hands one of those clear followers that crop up every now and then, I'll be able to use it with the unpainted set.
Grey - Only slightly darker than the white; still kinda purple.
Black - A deep indigo.
