Do you think this version may have some side effects on championship participants?
Definitely, yes!
Believe it or not, but we seriously talked about what would happen if an Adults of Carcassonne championship took place
There are 2 ways it would impact the game:
1) Players play the usual way, scoring everything possible but the alcohol kicks in sooner or later, impacting their decision and causing mistakes and bad decisions if more than one game takes place the same day.
2) Players play safely, not scoring smaller zones, resulting in lowest end score and a risk of loosing earlier, but stay sober for several games.
We still don't know what the best strategy would be!
Also, this championship should be streamed at any cost. We watched some parts of the 2023 wold championship already, and just imagine it with people getting more and more drunk... Players unleashing their emotions during a game, getting penalty points in case of regurgitation...
Main selection would take place on Friday, so that Saturday games starts with serious hangovers, semi final and final (maybe even quarter?) take place on Sunday, but with stronger alcohol in the shots...
Who's in?
Otherwise... We both would like to start with a normal championship, are there any way to participate (national or bigger) from Belgium?
