Couldn't make the last day at Origins, needed to pick up my sons from Boys State, which was a 2 hour drive from Columbus to where he was and a 4 hour drive back to my home in northern Ohio.
I had a great time at Origins. I know it isn't as famous as some of the other cons, but I feel there is a lot of focus on actual gaming, and that is what I enjoy about is so much. I enjoy it more than Gen-con. Smaller, but lots of games to play! 4

Day 3 decided to get Clank!, the expansion was sold out already at the show so couldn't get the expansion. Also got a Boss Monster carrying case.
Played soooo many games today. Another good day at Origins. 2 days left in the convention, Tomorrow will be the busiest and some dealers are already low or out of some product!! Guess they should have planned better. 6

This one, for me, is the most difficult by far. So many good games on this list! Struggling to just pick 3.

Official Rules / Re: CAR for Carcassonne v2« on: May 09, 2017, 02:42:32 PM »
Am I missing something? Don't the new rules supersede the old rules? Even if you play with the old tiles shouldn't the newest rules be the rules in effect?
Why would you need 2 CARs? 12

Almost very board game I buy anymore is a used game. As much as I like the "new game smell" and popping out the card board pieces, I would much rather save the money and buy used.
I consider myself a game player, yes I have many games and am a tad of a completionist, but my games get played. I have a group I play with every Saturday, and even though they have some games that of their own, it is usually mine we are playing. So those new games become used games very quickly. I wish my local store would sell used games, as it would probably save me shipping when I get the on BGG. 13

I agree totally with Coloretto, good game and easy to teach. One of the games that my non gaming wife will play.
Valeria card Kingdoms- my wife will play this as well. The play will remind you of Machi Koro, but for me this game is sooooo much better. I like the fantasy theme and the play seems smoother. I feel this is probably the best game on this list. Thurn and Taxis- to me this is a step up from Ticket to ride. Still pretty easy gameplay, but has more thoughtful decision to make. Many of the listed games I have never played, but from the ones I have played, these would be my choices. 14

Can not believe I forgot this in my previous list. A great game, but finding the promos
and/or expansions to this seems to be even harder than Carcassonne! Snowdonia 15
