I am seriously considering going to this. Are there any other takers yet?

We have a few sign ups and a number of people saying they will book soon.  We're keen to get as many people as possible to take part.

Aarrgghh - I got so excited whilst reading this until I realised I will be in Spain.  Next year!
Feel free to spread the word!

Perhaps if your competition became an official competition though you could send your overall winner to the World Championships in Essen instead?
Thanks for the kind words Dan.

We would love to be able to establish that link to the World Championships in future years!

Hi there,

I'm the organiser of Tabletop Scotland which is a new board, card and RPG games convention being held in Perth, Scotland on the 1st & 2nd of September 2018.

On the Sunday of the convention we're hosting what we've dubbed the "Scottish Championships" of Carcassonne.  You don't need to be Scottish or living in Scotland to take part and as the quotes suggest this is not an official title!  We'd love to see this become a qualifier of sorts for the UK Championships in future years but that's not possible this year.

Full details of the convention including tickets and event booking are on our website - http://tabletopscotland.co.uk/
Full details of the Carcassonne event specifically are here - http://tabletopscotland.co.uk/events/carcassonne-scottish-championships/

The tournament will be using the World Championship 2-player format and will be played over 4 rounds of swiss before splitting off into a Top 8 to play for the title.

Prizes are TBC but we're expecting them to include promo tiles and the winner to get something like a Big Box copy of Carcassonne.

The tournament has 32 spaces available in total.

Any questions please let me know!

Cheers,

Dave
