Experiment #2:

Also pretty good, though I think the bottom color bar should be a different color than the existing minis.

I was trying to be consistent with them, so I guess I succeeded. I saved the master image with all the layers separated, so making changes is easily done. The hardest part is finding character images.

Looking good. Just to clarify something here, I hope that you realize that you're reproducing covers that don't exist in reality. Those products do not exist and thus the collector can't search and buy them. No game releaser have this. I think that we are loosing meaning here. I ask, are we showing a complete (released to date) Carcassonne collection or are we showing a collection with custom elements? Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be a troll, I'm just wondering...

Scott, I like the image for the plague as a picture for a tuck-box.
But I think if we put such images at the first page from the CAR, the people would think "oh is there a new expansion?".

Split this from the other thread, since I still think it will be fun to make them but they won't be used in the CAR.

Wow! Those are really nice- it's a massive shame they can't be used somehow (at least not by me since I don't use the tuckboxes).

Only criticism is that I agree with Whaley- the colour at the bottom should be unique- perhaps white/grey for Cathars and something else for Plague (brown?)

i really like them and will for sure use them for my tuckboxes, so please go on :-)
(perhaps you could even do some refresh of existing ones like river or count in the design of the new minis)

I thought about that, but it's very hard to come up with ideas for the character images. If anybody has ideas, please post them here. Otherwise I'll end up doing things like GQ11 in the style of the River box.

The count can come straight from the C,K&C cover, the King/baron can come off the king/baron tiles, the river 1/2 could be a fisherman (not sure where the picture would come from)...

You could look up art by the artist used in other games. I forget who does the box art—I don't think its Doris Mathäus—but it shouldn't be too hard to find out.
