Hello Challa!
For me true carcassonne are C1 stuff. But I have some C2 stuff Iike für 2, maps, spiels or 20th anniversary edition and maybe I’ll buy the new big box…

Hi DrMeeple, thanks for your input!   You mean the big box that was just announced in France? It seems its the same content than the 2017 one with just a different box...

Am I not getting in trouble posting my idea in both forums?  I mean I dont see any problem, but do forums like to proudly say: this fan expansion was developed by CCentral or CarcF, because then I get in trouble.... (just want to be sure beforehand...)

Hi kothmann, thanks a lot for sharing the link to your similar question. Indeed, that was very helpful!! Nice to see that all are relaxed here and that sharing the joy of exploring new possibilities prevails I will try to get in contact with a German Mod ASAP to see if they are as relaxed (  ) and then I will also share here. Please see the attachment for detailed explanations of "small illustrations" (attachment is a snip of the Wikicarpedia page on Base Game). But I am sure you will at least have a look and give me your thoughts on the idea

C2 for me, usually......unless I want to use wheel of fortune or 10th anniversary edition.
Hi Halfling, thanks for your reply!! I am really happy to see that there are more C2 players than I thought... Which expansion or combination of expansions do you like to play most? Do you also play with fan expansions? (Well there are not so many for C2 from what I have seen, correct?)

Playing C2 for everything existing in C2, and mixing the few C1 only expansions (catapult, tunnels, plague, school, Russian promos, Carhars...) 
Hi from Bavaria to Switzerland I am doing the exact opposite. Playing C1 with everything existing in C1, if necessary mixing with C2 (Fruit Bearing Trees are compulsory ) and sometimes playing only C2 with expansions that exist only in C2... So then you are one of those who can test my new idea...

I'm playing mostly C2 these days, also because that's what they release new stuff for. So if a new expansion comes out I want to try it, and I don't like mixing art styles.
I've got a full C1 playset, that occasionally comes out though. Haven't forgotten about C1!
Ah very good, does this mean you would also be willing to try my idea?  In C2 I really love the Fruit bearing trees, it might be my all time favorite expansion, we are including it in almost every game if possible. Lately we also played peasants revolt a lot which is also quite nice. Also we have integrated the abbot permanently in our meeple set even if we have no gardens in the game. In C1 I love the Goldmines; The Plague is also very nice (I am happy to have an original set)....

Hi fellow players, I am not new to the Carcassonne world (I am German and I played from the beginning of the game...), I am not even new to this forum (I joined in 2017), but after many years of silence and background activity (meaning crafting those wonderful fan expansions and playing them with much joy) this is my first post I am a little sad to see that the activity around Carcassonne seems to go down and I am getting the impression that most of the players left are die hard CC I fans.... Dont get me wrong, I also do prefer CC I (for a lot of reasons) but I have no trouble playing with mixed games or even with only the new edition. So, is my impression right or wrong? Pleeeease convince me that I am wrong The real reason why I am asking  : I am just now developing my own very first fan expansion - idea was from a few days ago (I posted it in the German Carcassonne Forum) but it is only for CC II. Do you think I can find players willing to test knowing that test has to be in CC II ? Are there even enough active players to find somebody willing to test? Thanks a lot for replying! PS: and thanks a lot to all the wonderful people who have created those wonderful fan expansions I like to play with...
