Picky players could argue it's a 4 expansions question... Thanks for the gift, Santa Claus!

Official Rules / Darmstadt Spielt majority« on: November 27, 2024, 06:21:02 AM »
Hi,
I see the rules state the following: When one of these churches is completed, it is first scored the same as a cloister in the base game rules. In addition, the player who has the most followers on the church tile and the 8 surrounding tiles scores 3 extra points. In case of a tie, all players involved get the 3 points. Is it the number of physical meeples that counts, or the majority? In other words, shall the big meeple count as 2 meeple for the 3 points bonus? Does the mayor count as the number of pennant in the city (so also possible to be 0!), or as 1, regardless the amount of penannt? best regards, 4
Official Rules / Question about the pest (order of play)« on: November 25, 2024, 03:29:04 AM »
Hi,
I have a few questions about the Pest expansion: -can the action "flee the pest" happen whenever the player want during ones turn (so it's similar to placing a flea token)? -can a player place a meeple and flee the pest on a same turn, or does the "flee the pest" action forbid the placement of a meeple? -can a player place a meeple, than move that particular meeple to flee the pest? Would be a nice move to control a feature by entering a risky area (due to the pest, or just because a tower is close to it) and moving to a safer place! Best regards, 5
Official Rules / Re: Wonders of Humanity + River or with "personnal" tiles« on: November 24, 2024, 11:11:07 PM »
The first situation happens often to us, for most of our big games actually.
When playing with many tiles and WOH set I, Stonehenge is clearly overpowerfull in comparison to other Wonders (Notre-Dame being the second by default choice, Alhambra and Circus Maximus being absolute no-go), so the target is clearly to get it at all costs. It's the time to shine for the Shephered and the Abbot Can't wait to try WOH set II, since it seems to bring other powerfull tiles ! 6
Official Rules / Wonders of Humanity + River or with "personnal" tiles« on: November 21, 2024, 06:58:52 AM »
Hi all,
Preparing to be a menace for the coming advent quiz, it's time to study the rules! Is it what I'm doing? Maybe not. Or maybe yes. Who knows? I have 2 questions regarding the use of the Wonders of Humanity with other expansions: 1) Playing with WOH, a River expansion and an expansion allowing to earn points during the river placing: If we are still placing River tiles, and a player gets a Wonder tile (thanks to points earned with the Abbot or the Shephered for example), does he place it on his next turn, even if River tiles are still possible to draw, or shall he wait until the River is completed, and play it on his first turn after the River is completed? 2) Playing with WOH + "personnal tiles" (Halflings, Abbey, Castles in Germany): With Abu Simbel, when playing with Halflings, Castles in Germany or Abbey, the player has the choice to draw a second tile (and play it or play the one he has already in front of him) or to place one of these special tiles (and keep the tile he has in front of him for next turn), is that correct? Best regards, 7
Reviews & Session Reports / Re: MEGA Carcassonne how we play it« on: November 18, 2024, 04:12:25 AM »
I LOVE those big games... But unfortunately, very few people wants to follow me on such an adventure (even my partner doesn't want to play those unending games anymore...).
Playing it on several days is a very nice idea, sad the cat here won't allow us to do so... 8

In French, we use to say "his dictionnary is only used to replace the missing leg of his couch" to talk about someone who has a poor langage level / poor vocabulary...
I guess "his Carcassonne box is only used to support the TV" can now be used to talk about a low level player 9

you have them by taking part in the tournament, but I guess someone here could share the file?
If that's the case, I'd be interested in getting the file as well, people on the French Facebook group asked for it 10

"You change the rules all the time just to make the game easier for you" and "already told you it was better this way but you obviously misunderstood the rules first time you read them" are now 2 sentences I must prepare to hear...
