Gave you a merit for that books-picture because:

A. I love books
B. I love old books and some of these look fantastic

How old is that 'dante-club' book?

Not too old - it's a 2004 printing. I got it at a second-hand book sale about a year ago. It's a novel set in the mid-19th century, so perhaps it's made to look that old.

My oldest books are a mixed set of Edward Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire - all seven volumes are more than 100 years old (each printed between 1903-15).

Google translates to:
Quote
this edition of the SPIEL DOCH! It comes with two new platelets for Carcassonne . one has been illustrated in the style of the classic edition of Doris Matthaus , the other in the style of the current issue of Anne Patzke .

Spelregel | Mix the mazes platelets under the previous. You draw one of them, just put it on after normal rules and can search for a normal control a meeple put it. The labyrinth is not crossing, any outgoing streets are interconnected.
do you want to put a meeple on the labyrinth, all roads to the you put on, so its still unoccupied. the meeple is then highwaymen on all connected roads. Both have the same function and platelets can expenditure with two to play. A rule- variant for advanced players , check www.carcassonne.de

Seems like a RRRR tile with all four roads connected to each other. I've had a quick look on carcassone.de for the variant but couldn't find anything.

Is there any more news on the official variant rules? I can't find anything on HiG. I've emailed them in case we are missing something!

Our unofficial ones are better anyway :P
Look to the north. Keep looking. There's nothing coming from the south.

My magazine just came today.

In New York, which is probably why it took a bit longer than other people.

Hi there

The two new tiles from the magazine are listed with rules on BGG.  I bought them both on Ebay this morning!  Called Labyrinth tiles.

One is the old artwork and one is the new but they can both be used together.  Link for more information below!

Just a heads up but the Advanced Rule hyperlink doesn't work on BGG. It sends you to a page with the rules for Carc 2, not the Labyrinth! Can't find it on carcassonne.de at all!

At the HiG homepage is the advanced rule for the Labyrith - but it is only in German:
