I'm sad I don't own an iOS phone/tablet :( The android version only has a few expansions. . .

I finally broke down and bought both Carcassonne and the 5th Anniversary Bundle. But I discovered that there doesn't seem to be any single-player, non-solitaire mode. Is this true? I tried the solitaire version and I didn't really like it that much. It's just kind of boring. Is there no AI mode with this app? I usually don't have a ton of time or patience to play online games with other people, so it's a bit of a bummer if this whole app is useless to me.

There is definitely AI. I don't have the app installed at the moment so I can't talk you through it, but keep looking and I'm sure you'll find it.

There are 9 AI opponents plus a secret one that you have to unlock.
Maybe if you press "Local" game? There are only 2 buttons (under Normal Game menu), Local and Internet, plus Resume if you have an active game. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Thank you Jéré. I just discovered this method this morning when my internet was down and it wouldn't even let me connect. When I checked the "Local" option, I suddenly saw them. I guess I didn't scroll down enough. My mistake. I can finally play! If only I had the time... :-(

How do the "weird" AIs act?
Not sure how to describe it but I imagine it's a mix of strong and easy, which makes this AI opponent somehow unpredictable.

I've only just got back from holiday and seen this. I saw your message sent through the app Jere but wasn't quite sure what you were referring to, now I know!
I'll have to check this out. I'm also interested in unlocking the secret opponent. I've been playing a lot of 4-player games against 3 AI opponents so a change of AI strategy may be interesting...
