I have modified the original post to include your suggestions.
I purposefully left out Halflings I and Phantom because both provide an "easy way out" from some of the potentially detrimental situations and I don't want to be so generous

Also Halflings II are better at blocking because they have roads and cities on their long side.

It's totally hellish!!!

If you want something milder, you can try Celestial Events... It combines good and bad... And solar eclipses are really nasty
