Round 5 of the 2021 Basegame Double League
Hi all, second round is online. (If you like to play some matches a bit faster, I'm posting the rest also)

Make sure to have either BGA or JCloisterZone version 4.6.1.7 ready (https://jcloisterzone.com/builds/JCloisterZone-4.6.1.7z).

Thodekey and I played round 1 and will be picking up round 2 as we are able. I'll post all the details of the shellacking that I received once we've got both rounds completed. - :pink-meeple:

Mighty Thodekey beat me down both rounds, but I must admit that I had a stronger start in round 2.
Round 1 - Basically, Thodekey's excellent defensive blocking locked up a number of my meeples in the first half of the game. That left it to be a farmer's battle, and Thodekey did a great job of neutralizing my farmers one-by-one. He's a very skilled and shrewd adversary.

Thodekey v Allograft - round 2
The second round started off more competitively with both Thodekey and Allograft being able to both score points for small and medium roads and cities. But much like a young man in early romantic relationships, Allograft didn't have the staying power to keep up with Thodekey. In the second, half, Thodekey's defensive blocking once again shifted the balance of power as Allograft's meeple supply dwindled with more and more meeples hopelessly locked up. The death knell for Allograft came at his own hands in the final rounds. While planning and intending to block Thodekey's tie-breaking farmer, well, Allograft connected that meeple to deliver control over the entire field to Thodekey by a margin of 5-4. Afterwards, they had a nice conversation and are looking forward to their next game when their paths cross.

For some people, like myself, it doesn't matter how much time one spends thinking, there brain processes are limited by a lack of horsepower. - :pink-meeple:

Anyway you have to be good on court, that story was amazing. I'm curious how you describe our matches :)
