If anyone has a Las Vegas certified blackjack auto shuffler and dealing shoe that has been adapted to work with Carcassonne playing tiles then I would be interested in purchasing. 8)
Had a game today that suffered from poor mixing of the expansion tiles. :(

Ha ha. That would be a neat idea if such a thing existed! :)
The bag does just fine for me...

I use an easter basket suspended above the table.

It's not a problem with drawing the tiles but making sure you don't get 2 or 3 tiles (like the princess) from the same expansion in a row.
I will have to work harder at mixing them up, yesterday I stirred them around in a box lid from Traders of Catan maybe that was just my punishment for not sticking with the Carcassonne big box box lid.

Be careful; that's a dangerous game you're playing! I did the same thing once and all my tiles became completely unusable immediately afterwards as a result. Some turned to brick, some to wood, some to ore, some to wheat, and some to... sheep. :(
Seriously though, a quick shuffle together on the table followed by a thorough mix around in the bag is normally enough to ensure things are as random as necessary for me.

I was playing a couple of my own variations and one where I re-use the Princess (I call her the Chatelaine) with the Trade good tokens to boost their points. In addition to the token you get 2 points per token per Chatelaine in the completed city.
I manged to pull 3 Chatelaine tokens close together and they ended up on the came city that had 5 trade tokens so it scored 2 X 5 X 3 = 30 points – too much.
So I am changing the scoring from 2 points to 1 point.
