so... do you know exactly when they put the expansion symbol on the expansions?
(it's a little add that I'd like to put in the italian RCA)

Whaleyland is our expert on watermarks. I believe they were added for Big Box 1 but he can confirm.

Yes, they were introduced in the first Big Box in 2006. Abbey & Mayor was the first stand-alone expansion released with the watermarks, and they appeared with reprints of the first four large expansions thereafter. Small expansions began getting watermarks with The Cult, released in 2008 in Spielbox with a pentagon watermark. In the same year, reprints of other small expansions were combined to create Count, King & Cult, the sixth expansion, with a new crown watermark. The River, the first small expansion, only got a watermark in 2014 in the Big Box 5.
