Sure, I'll bring the alternative version - keen to see what you think to it.
Not got round to thinking about what to bring, but like you're idea about keeping it light.
Might keep it light:
SkullKing-unless Rich brings the new edition.

Hi Folkydokey. Would be good to say hi if we get chance to meet up. Impressed you've already got a copy of Wingspan - I'm hoping my copy will be dispatched whilst I'm at Airecon although am a little concerned there won't be enough copies for all the pre-orders vendors have taken as it seems to have been crazy popular in recent months.
Yup hopefully see you there. Never played Carcassonne: The City so fingers crossed for that one. I’m definitely bringing Wingspan and Roll Player, possibly more if I can squeeze them in my backpack.

Hope a few more folk from the forum attend - especially as it's much further north than UKGE so might be easier for people to get to.

Rich_The_Fish v Chooselife

Blimey, what a tense and rather cautious game that was - the tower is so brutal!
This game was so finely balanced and could so easily have gone either way. In the end, there were a couple of critical tiles which really dictated the scoring...
The main city (worth 30 points) was vacant for about 12 tiles after CL captured my meeple - had he drawn the CFFF after this and finished the city then it would have been a totally different game.
In fact, right up until the last few tiles I thought it'd lost 2-3, but struck lucky with the draw and got a tower piece (RFRC) which allowed the capture of the main yellow farmer. This gave me enough farm and overall points to steal the win.
Thanks for the very challenging game Chooselife.

I believe this brings the Championship league to a close - thanks so much to all of you for the games, there have been several expansions I've never used before so really pleased to have learnt them.

Thanks for the msg Dan, it'll probably be safer if we dial in and use your laptop. Thanks mate.

Hi CL. 22:00 (GMT) should be just fine. Thanks for message, was intending to get in touch after work, but you beat me to it. It'll be good to play these last remaining games tonight and discover my fate in the league. Catch you later
Hi Rich,

Any chance of a later game today?
Maybe around 22h00.

Super!  7:30 pm (GMT) is fine, 8:00 PM would be perfect.
I can't host either (i don't know how it works) so
- we find somebody else to host
- OR we take the risk of playing online (I had to replay 1 game in this league thus far)
Great stuff, 8pm it is then (I'll be on Slack then). Happy to give the online server a go (and will save regularly just in case someone can get it reloaded should it fail).

Blimey, completely forgot about this, thanks for the reminder! Yes tonight is good, anytime after 7:30pm (GMT), although I can't host. Let me know what time is convenient for you. Cheers

Just to keep folk in the loop, I've sent Thodekey and chooselife a msg about the remaining games. Essentially something unexpected has cropped up and I'll definitely not be avail for the next few days or so.

26
A rather close game with jackface tonight. An even share of the spoils with 2.5 pts each. It could easily have been different had either of us known the scores on the doors as we approached the last few tiles as it was quite finely balanced. Thanks very much for the enjoyable game.

27
Hi thodekey. Thanks for the offer and being understanding. Just wanted to let you know JackFace and I are playing tonight. Tbh, I could also do with learning the rules to the mini expansion you've chosen before we play as I'm not familiar with it. Looks like a busy few days ahead, so I'll send you a PM at some point once I know when I might be available. Cheers

Hello Rich the Fish,

We'll see this evening.  If you can't arrange to play vs JackFace this evening...i'll be around on Slack.  Later then 20:00 GMT is possible for me too...till around 22:00 GMT starting hour.

Would love to but not sure if I'm free tonight until a bit later. Probably need to organise a time with JackFace first too as haven't been able to make it on the several occasions he's messaged me.
Rosco & Rich the Fish,

Anyone up for our game this evening around 20:00 GMT?

29
Hi Rosco. Just to let you know I'll not be able to play during the day and will probably only have time for one game tonight as I'm still not feeling well, but should hopefully be around later in the week.

Morning Halfling. I should be free around 7:30pm tonight for our game if that's okay for you?
