I am jealous of those going to Spiel...they will get to play the new Uber Stock und Stein! I'm just about done translating the German rulebook into English.

17
I'm interested to do the French translation (after the Tuckboxes). Wamboyil, do you have an editable file to do the job ?

The text portion of my file was created in Adobe InDesign, so if you can work with an InDesign file, I'd be happy to provide you with it.

Here is my English translation file for the rules sheet:

Any suggestions, corrections, etc. are welcome!

Enjoy!

I translated the descriptions of the castles over on the castles thread along with the rules. Check it out - it's a great read.

Are the English translated rules a cool sheet like the German one, or just plain text on the forum? :)

I would love to print out a "sheet" like the ones that comes with the tiles. =^_^= But English, of course.

Not to step on Decar's toes, but I haven't been able to check in here for a few days, so I'm late to the conversation. However, I have just completed my English translation of the German Castles rules sheet, and I'll post a link to it shortly.

This was fun! I saved 3.50 euros off my order of 2 sets of German Castles! Happy Easter!

Already ordered (2 copies)!

Does anyone know if the PDF of the German rules is available anywhere yet? I'll  be doing my standard English translation for the rules, as soon as the German file is available.

So grateful and humbled to be mentioned as the Member of the Month!  ;D

I enjoy doing the English translations (mostly because I usually cannot wait for the "official" English rules to be released!).

Not Carcassonne related, but I just finished an English rules translation for The Staufer Dynasty (Die Staufer). It should be posted at BGG as soon as the powers that be approve it.

Here's my attempt at creating an English rules sheet for the Darmstadt tiles, using the familiar Carcassonne rules look.

Pretty!!  ^-^ :(y)

Does anyone have rules made to look like this familiar Carcassonne rules, (in English) of the windroses, tunnel, besiegerers, school, german monastery, mini houses, and the plague^-^ I really want to download them and print them out!  ;D

The quality of the documentation contained within the CAR is mostly excellent and all of the expansions you've listed are covered by that. I'm not sure what more would be useful?

danisthirsty:

I agree with this, and that is why I never created English rules for most of those expansions, since they already existed in the CAR.

BabyGamer:

However, I DID do an English rules translation for the German Monasteries, here:

I most likely won't do a separate one for the Dutch Monasteries, since the rules are exactly the same.

Does anyone have a copy of the Spiel 2014 Promo tile they are willing to sell? I would not mind one for completeness.
If you do, could you PM me.

Pretty much everyone on ebay.de by the looks of it! It seems unfair to me to sell a free gift souvenir from HiG but at least the prices are low while there are so many for sale...

Unfortunately, I'm not finding any sellers on ebay.de that will ship to the US.   :(

I've uploaded a new file for the Carcassonne: Gold Rush English rules, adding the "English translation by…" statement as suggested by kettlefish. Here is the new link (the old one is not valid anymore):

Also, here's my English translation for the rules to Carcassonne: Gold Rush - The Sheriff:

Hi kettlfish,

I'm not sure if I understand your comment. I really did do all the work on this myself (as I have done for many Carcassonne items in the past).  I started with the original German PDF from HiG, opened each page in Adobe Illustrator, and then took each page apart piece by piece so I could isolate only the text parts, then inserted the English translation, and re-saved it back to a new PDF.

I enjoy doing it, for the community as well as for myself. This way, I don't have to wait for the English version of the game, and I can get the HiG version now!  :)
