I think I would also vote for option C.

I updated the page trying to explain this nuances. Let me know if I succedded, or some additional clarifications would be needed. I tried to keep the CAR convention.

I think that might be enough, but the table cells below the example may still need to be updated as they still say "1st score", '2nd score", '3rd score".

This might cause some confusion, as the three "editions" refer to different rules releases of the First Edition game release (artwork by Doris). It needs changing, yes, but maybe other terminology used throughout? "Release" or "Version"? It may have been based on the original CAR.

I've been through the list and identified about a dozen expansions which feature a character tile that works in roughly the same way as King or Robber Baron. The new category will appear in the next data refresh, but that's not expected to be for a while. I have excluded Character tiles that are mixed in with the other tiles and only cause a specific action when they are drawn, and have not considered expansions that have a generic Character meeple (such as The Teacher, or something using The Count piece in another role) which might be passed between players, or moved around the board, throughout the game.

Thanks for suggesting this. It's probably a good one to include, as there are more than a couple of examples.

A few conifers have appeared infiltrating the Forest on tiles over the last few years. But this changes things completely ....

Update of Order of play need to be updated in step 1B.

If you chosen to draw extra tiles for your fortune teller(s) in first part of double turn, you must choose a valid tile from the ones left, if any. Discard and re-shuffle the rest.

If you have chosen ... in the first part of a double ...

My document has been approved and should be accessible again.

Sorry, I think that's a temporary issue. I made a minor change to the document, based on the images you posted on CarcF for these expansions, earlier today. The updated file needs to be approved (I think) by one of the Admins before it becomes public. Maybe one of the Admins can advise when they've approved it.

Could the connector tiles in the image above be the ones mentioned in the following thread ...

https://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?topic=5541.msg

which mentions a C2/WE connector set on CarcCZ?

Hi TechnikerHannes, and welcome to the site.

These were two expansions created back in the early days of Carcassonne (say early 2000s) by Friederich Scholta but are no longer available to download. They might be some of the ones that were sold through eBay, or similar, at the time - a practice that is now actively discouraged.

I created a document listing known information about these, and other, lost expansions, that is available from the Downloads section on the site. It includes screenshots, images, rules, and other information where these have been found. The only way to get these tiles would be to create them from scratch yourself, although some of the tile configurations (cities and roads) are found in later published expansions or other fan expansions. If you want to see my document, there is a discussion thread about my search for some of these expansions at ...

https://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?topic=3065.0

or direct download from ...

https://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=613

If you have more info than I have recorded for these expansions, please let me know so I can update my document. Many thanks.

No, I don't believe the central river was intended to be extended during the game. It only provided a way to play two different games at the same time, playing away from the central river in the same way that you play away from the coastal start strip in New World/Mayflower.

Since the originals are not (currently) available to download, here are examples of each as a flavour of what I've been mentioning ...

The Amazonas ones are based on 4x single tiles, while the double-tile blocks appear to be a mix of the same width as standard tiles, or half width.
