Flash Point: Fire Rescue
« on: March 17, 2013, 10:12:06 PM »
The third expansion for Flash Point: Fire Rescue just launched in Kickstarter:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2012515236/flash-point-fire-rescue-extreme-danger

There are some exclusive promos available only during the first 24 hours, so if you want in, don't delay. If you missed out on any previous campaign, the previous expansions and base game are available again too.

I'm very happy that the third expansion comes in a box this time. Even after removing the insert in the original box, it wasn't quite deep enough to hold everything.

Ok now I have no excuse to not pick up Flash Point! I like the Star Trek red shirt token - it will be a challenge to keep him alive lol
PM me for for a list of remaining items from the Carcassonne Shoppe.

Definitely pledged the $100 level, but I really can't justify the purchase. I am flat broke right now. I mean FLAT! And there are a bunch of fun Kickstarter I want to back this year.

If anyone is looking at this, but doesn't have the base, I'm selling it.  Check out the market place.

There are 9 days left on the Extreme Danger expansion campaign. A lot of stretch goals have been unlocked, including the next expansion, Dangerous Waters, which has a ship on one side of the board and a submarine on the other. We're trending towards $200k, which will unlock everything, but a trend is not a projection so we need all the help we can get.

If you have previously purchased any FP:FR items, posting a review or session report on BGG will help lower some of the stretch goal targets.

I agree. I've only played the game once and we had a dictator in the group, so I can't really do anything except spread the word...which I'm also restricted on since my wife can't know I'm pledging. Please pledge for this! I'd love to see the $200k goal unlocked. I'm pledging at the $100 level plus $12 to get the next expansion included in the batch.

Yesterday I received the Extreme Danger and Dangerous Waters expansions, along with all the other Kickstarter/promo bonus goodies. Extreme Danger comes in a box the same size as the base game, so I was able to rearrange the way everything is stored so that the base game box is not overflowing anymore. However, I had to remove the cardboard divider from the Extreme Danger box (divider removed previously from base game box). In the Extreme Danger box I have all the expansion boards, which fills the box right to the top. The original board and instruction booklets are in the original box, along with all the tokens and pawns (of which there are now four variations).

Actually, Extreme Danger has its own box, but that's an aside. I just got my stuff yesterday and was very happy with the whole thing. I mean, I would like directions regarding what to do with the bonus stuff but other than that, but I'm still happy. I stuck all the player pieces and the Dangerous Waters boards in the second box and the boards in the main game's box. I should probably switch them, but I haven't had the time yet. Everything needs to get bagged first. I also have to figure out what to do with the duplicates, because I am not going to keep them all with the game if they aren't necessary.

I received my copy yesterday! We actually got to play test Extreme Danger at GenCon so we kind of know it already. We played 3 games of it there and they all were very intense. I'm looking forward to breaking this out for our group!

I too made everything fit in the two boxes.  :D

I played a couple of games of Extreme Danger last night.  While the workshop beat us, we managed to win quite easily in the lab.

That's how tired I was; I wrote the wrong name that entire post. I've fixed my error.

Each expansion assumes that you don't have any other expansions, so there's a lot of extra components if you have everything. This game is at the point where it needs a Complete Annotated Rules. A lot of the things introduced in the most recent campaign are backwards compatible with the previous maps.

I think this is one of the first Kickstaters I have been involved in where the Brits got their packages long before the US and Canada! I received my package, containing 17 copies of Coup (I ran a grouo buy), Flash Point and the Snowdonia expansion on Saturday 9 November.

The weekend after we received our Flashpoint we went down to our local game store and they had it on the shelf. They must have bought into a retail lot on KS or something. I don't know if their sets had all the promos or not.
