Perfect timing, Kettlefish!

And here is my English rules translation:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B62Qt7XfvzblelQxMExaeVNCYW8/view?usp=sharing

I welcome all comments corrections, as I am not very fluent in German. In particular, I am not sure if I have the correct rules for the Game End (see top of page 2 in the rules).

The German rules state: "Sobald ein Spieler keine Landschaftskarte mehr nachziehen kann, endet das Spiel sofort. Wer dann noch Dreieckskarten vor sich liegen hat, darf diese nicht mehr einsetzen."

The (not so trusty) Google translator spit this back at me (verbatim): "Once a player can not follow suit more landscape map, the game ends immediately. Who then are triangular cards right, this may no longer use."

I'm not sure what is meant by "follow suit". I can't recall any game ending rules other than the typical method of playing until the last tile is played. Because of this, I have stated it that way in my English translation. If anyone can translate that section more clearly, please let me know if my version is incorrect.

Thanks!

EDITED TO ADD: I notice that when ! click on the above link and view the PDF in my browser, I see gray triangles next to all of the triangle half-tiles. However, when I download the PDF to my desktop and open it in Acrobat, they are not there. Just wanted to point that out in case anyone else noticed that.

The German rules state: "Sobald ein Spieler keine Landschaftskarte mehr nachziehen kann, endet das Spiel sofort. Wer dann noch Dreieckskarten vor sich liegen hat, darf diese nicht mehr einsetzen."

That means something like this:
If there are no more landscape tiles on the stack (empty) the game ends immediatly. The players (how still have their triangle landscape tiles) can't place the triangle tiles. The final score take place.

Hi wamboyil,
is it possible to put a small note into the document:

"fan-made translation by wamboyil"

So, in effect, this really is the same way as the normal game end, correct? Except for the triangle half tiles that cannot be placed, of courseā€¦

And yes, I will add the "fan-made translation" to the document and post the new link soon.

Thanks wamboyil. I notice from your translation that only the cundco version has crop circles and hills and sheep features, something I complained a little bit about earlier in this thread. I've ordered the spielbox one already so I assume there are no expansion features on these tiles. If so, it worked out well for me! :green-meeple:

I have a question about this:
Quote
Therefore, they [triangular tiles] must be placed so that at least one of the shorter sides of the tile touches a previously placed tile
But example shows that tile can also be placed with only long sides connected.
How it can be explained?

That was given in the rules as a negative option.

Jungleboy, the 12 tiles of the Cundco set are online at Carcassonnne-forum.de. There are no expansion features on any of its tiles.

Disagree. You are referring to the third picture/example, but I mean second one.

A long side of the triangle can be connected to a long side of another triangle (and in fact needs to be, to make a regular tile), but not to one of the sides of a regular tile - or at least that is how I read it.

Jungleboy, the 12 tiles of the Cundco set are online at Carcassonnne-forum.de. There are no expansion features on any of its tiles.

But this picture - also from Carc-F - has the watermark indicating it is the Cundco version and shows expansion features.

Yes, I understand it. But left triangular tile in second example is placed against given rule (they must be placed so that at least one of the shorter sides of the tile touches a previously placed tile)

I noticed that myself, after I posted the file. I want to add something to the effect of "long side of a triangular tile can (must?) be placed against the long side of another triangular tile", but the space is so limited. THis rule sheet is very crowded as it is! I'll get it in there, somehow...

Spielbox - 12 tiles total:

12 triangle tiles are without special icons.
8 triangle tiles have city segments (4 triangle tiles with city and road segments)
1 triangle tile has a cloister
3 triangle tiles have road segments
------------------------------------------

CundCo - 12 tiles total:

8 triangle tiles are without special icons.
(these triangle tiles have no cloister, some have city and road segments, some have city segment and one has a road segment)

4 triangle tiles have special icons (sheep, vineyard, hill, corn circle)
(these triangle tiles have no city segments, 3 triangle tiles with road segments)

OK, so it should be something like this:

They must be placed so that at least one of the shorter sides of the tile touches a previously placed tile or the longer side touches the longer side of another triangular tile.
