Hey everyone,
Sorry, not sure what they're called exactly, but referring to the larger card that the Carcassonne Tiles press out from in my question. Basically, what i'm wondering is whether people keep the remaining card after taking the tiles out or whether you toss them? I've got a large stack and half of me wants to toss it, the other half can't bring myself to do it.
So basically, do you keep them; and if so, what do you do with them?
Appreciate any insights. :-)
Also i'll update the post if someone can tell me what they're actually called. Lol.

I'm keeping all empty frames on the bottom of Big Boxes.
It may be irrational but I just couldn't force myself to throw them away :D

Haha, i do the same thing

I always keep them. I always keep all the punch out sheets for all my games - so much potential uses for them...
-
I throw them away. I saw a thread somewhere recently (not here) where someone turned their empty tile frames into a tile caddy, so the frames aren't necessarily completely useless, but I'm not sure what else one would do with them.

I throw them away too! We can't keep them all!

Oh if only you knew... the wonders one can achieve with them.

Waiting on you to share your tips with us! ;D

Yes, if you're going to make a bold statement like that, I expect you to follow it up with photos.

Same for me, waiting for you to share something!
Until now I threw these grids away... :yellow-meeple:

I keep the frames too, along with the rules in paper. I keep all the minis in an empty BB6 and the rest in their corresponding boxes (this is the case for the base game and the major expansions).
Nothing is wasted. Nohing is tossed away. O0

I don't have anything on hand right now, but in the past I used the carcassonne frames along with punch out sheets from other games to make:
-trays
-frames
-molds
-tool stands
-test tube racks
-hangers for crystal growing
-home pyrotechnics
-spatulas
-etc.
Seriously, gaming cardboard is one of the most versatile materials ever. Especially when it comes in all kinds of shapes. :gray-meeple:
PS: I think I'm about to use them in the near future, so if I do, I'll post some pictures here.
