There's a few sellers that have translucent meeples available in the five standard colors, but has anybody seen a source for individual purple translucent meeples? I'm interested in getting a full set of eight to stick in my 10th Anniversary box.

No, I guess you have to buy 8 Phantom boxes,
and then sell them off (or give them away) without the purple meeple

Purple meeples were only available in the Phantom expansion. It's meant to be the gray players Phantom.

Ted was selling white (or clear) ones. Could you use those?

I got a set of clear ones from Ted, but you know me: never satisfied until I have everything. ::)

I bought a set of the clear from Ted so I could make Gray, Brown, White, Pink and Orange Phantoms to complete my 11 color set. I painted the edges like the Teacher.

I know you've got one more Phantom in purple with the latest surprising bag.

I haven't opened that copy of the Phantom; it restored balance to my universe because now I have one of each Phantom box with the meeples still inside, and I have the six Phantom meeples from my extra set mixed in with the meeples in my ArtBin storage case. I don't think I can mentally handle removing the purple Phantom meeples from each box to make a set of 8.
I'm curious to know more about this "painting the edges" business. Does it look good? What kind of paint do I need?

Scott, what if someone else bought the full set of phantoms and removed the purple ones and sent them to you? Would that be ok with your OCD? Or would it be bad enough to know that this has happened?
Obviously quite an expensive way of doing things, just wondering if that would help!

OK, well I'm based in the UK and can get copies of The Phantom from Germany for about €8 (incl. shipping). If you want to try and set something up send me a PM. We could work out some sort of split cost since you would be getting just the purple phantoms and I guess I would keep / sell / give away the rest.

HAHA Ok, I might have laughed a little too hard at this. I should know more about the clear meeple late February. These boxes are getting dusty waiting... ::)

Sorry for the late update.... So, the project for the clear meeple was approved, but not in the way we were wanting. We are not able to sell the clear pieces as of right now. At this point, we unfortunately have given up on this project :'( ..... We spent over $3k on the prototype pieces (which came out 100% perfect) but are stuck with them until HiG allows us to sell them. And since we are abandoning the project, we may end up not being able to sell the prototypes. If this ever changes, we will certainly let you guys know!

Are you able to give them away as free gifts with orders? Or as prizes for something?

Really sorry to hear that Ted. Quite apart from the fact that it will now be considerably more difficult (if it's even possible at all) to get our hands on those awesome pieces, I hope it hasn't soured anything between you and HiG, especially after you spent so much money on the project.

I appreciate you guys. We were bummed about the project issues, but it hasn't soured our relations with the publishers. It did bring us to our decision to close up the Shoppe, however. HiG has not responded to our several pleas of selling the prototypes off, but we are hopeful they will at some point. Until then, we aren't able to give them away or sell them without permission. They will have to stay trapped in their box prisons awhile longer ... :gray-meeple:

What a shame, that all this had to happen. And how sad, that your pieces now have to wait for who knows how long... :( I would love to posess some of them and hope, that there will be a decision from HiG sometimes.
However, Ted, thank you for your great efforts with the Carcassonneshoppe! This definitely is a shop that will stay unique in our big Carcassonne world.
