Today (Monday May 18) is a holiday in Canada - Victoria Day.  Therefore, I am fairly free.

Anyone available to play today?

jma03 - thanks.  I have been on the IRC chat, and my partner monwil is playing Paul at the moment.   I am eavesdropping on the game, so my PC is tied up.

Sorry!

Can you host?

Losing to MrNumbers by just 9 points feels like a victory to me. I think I should get points for this...  O:-)

Great game though, and well done to MrNumbers.  :(y)

With about 15 tiles to go I had two small cities which were each one cxxx tile away from being completed but I never drew the required tile for either of them. This wouldn't have been so bad but for the fact that I had no other meeples left in my supply so if I'd been able to complete either of these I could have got a meeple back and used it to claim an extra 9 points for my Abbey (winning the game). Still; some you lose, some you lose even worse. Fortunately this was merely a loss.

Here is my screenshot of the game too, for good measure:

We played this game very quickly, perhaps 20 minutes or so. berchio placed his barn early on and made me panic but I was able to place my barn nearby and then linked the two farms so that we shared it.

berchio got off to a great start and quickly built a lead of around 30 points. a 26-point city along with a few other things helped me to draw level but in the end it came down to the city in the north-west which I used my mayor to steal and which won me 20 points even though it was incomplete.

Thanks for the game David. Well played!  :(y)

What a game! The score was pretty close for most of the game, the last few pieces were very intense and could of easily given us many different outcomes.
