When playing maps, we also use the Traders & Builders rules, figures and tokens.  Works great.  We also include abbots, phantoms, barns and abbeys.  Why not?

Ha, it's funny that wolnic just commented.  He's made so many beautiful tiles, but his covered bridge with the Autumn colored Mayflower tile is one of my all time favorites.  It just makes me happy every time I see it.  Seriously, if I could blow it up and hang it in my house I would.  I'm also partial to the fantastic tiles he made for the Cosmic Portal Mirror Zone expansions (see my avatar!) and forever grateful he volunteered his incredible skills to collaborate on my idea.

One of my other all time favorite tiles is by another incredible artist: oldbonz.  His Altoona city tile for Winter Gold Rush makes me happy too because it's a beautiful tile of my home town.  And the fact that he graciously made it  upon suggestion shows that oldbonz is also an incredibly nice guy!

Great post idea, OJH1997.  Looking forward to more members' favorite tiles!

That is absolutely right, not only proven by a double postman visit today!

First, my local postman stopped by to bring this:

The Falcon expansion for The Castle, as made by Print&Play games in the US. I've given the gate pieces a try, which seem to fit ok, some tighter than others, but I'm sure it will work fine in a game. Will need to play this one soon!

Thanks for your post, Willem.  Upon seeing this I ordered Falcon from Print&Play, and it just arrived yesterday.  I can confirm that the tiles are just a bit thinner than normal, but the color is fantastic.  Much better than my attempt at printing and cutting my own a year ago (see left side of picture).  Oh, and it's free shipping in the US for any Americans out there who want to add this to their collection.  Thanks again, Willem!

Yes, thank you, Scott for the English rules.  I will be printing and anxiously awaiting the copy of Zamek that I just ordered.    :white-meeple:

Welcome back Tactical Tuesday!  I second Willem's call; it's a pretty good farming opportunity.  C would be my second choice though.

Hi, Rosco.  I'd happily take the Count King & Robber large expansion off your hands.

Just saw that the Z-man website (via the Asmodee link) in the US is now giving 11/12/21 as a date for the English version of the Anniversary Edition.  Hope this isn't pushed back again and that all of us who've been waiting can get one soon!

I second Willem's sleeve and bag tip.  It's great tile protection and helps disguise those fan-made ones!  I can also attest to the quality and attractiveness of the new (large) Cundco bag.

Another viable option would be a variation of Option C but turned -90 degrees so that the newly placed black knight is facing the contested city, thus giving black dominance if connected.

(If I understand your suggestion correctly) Since the CCCC has already been played the city would never complete, nor Green's monastery - so Black would now have two followers stranded until the end of the game, but might get a few points for this new city. Black might prefer not to place a knight on this tile.

Ah, good point, wolnic!  I missed the fact that the CCCC had already been played.  Definitely not a good idea to strand 2 followers!

I like Option B.  It's the start to a nice unshared city, and it doesn't help green's monastery.  Another viable option would be a variation of Option C but turned -90 degrees so that the newly placed black knight is facing the contested city, thus giving black dominance if connected.  But this would tie up another meeple and continue a battle for a city that may never be finished, so I prefer the simpler, cleaner Option B.  :black1-meeple:

Option A would be good if I wanted to tie up another meeple in a city that may or may not ever be finished... But I prefer option C for a pretty good chance of getting a farmer into the main field.  (If I were playing with Phantoms, I'd also grab the football city too for a quick 4 points!)
