This raises an interesting question. And I think people use the term differently depending on their level of exposure and experience to the game. I remember when I was first learning of expansions I considered MegaCarc to be the base game + 3 large expansions. I owned and had played with Inns & Cathedrals previously but received both Princess & Dragon and Abby & Mayor for Christmas. It was (at the time) the most I had ever played with together and all that I owned. It was
MEGA to me at the time - figuring out rules, learning how the expansions interacted with each other, etc.
All that to say, another question in figuring out this definition - what constitutes playing with an expansion. For example, I almost always play with the large follower, but not necessarily with inn tiles. I almost always play with the builder, but not necessarily the trade tiles. We usually play with the abbey tile, but maybe not the mayor or mayor tiles. For us, we choose meeples over tiles more often than not, but what about people who play the other way around? Love the princess but hate the dragon? Does that mean that you didn't play with the expansion if you did not use all of the elements?
Just something else to take into consideration
