Noteː English is the default language, and all pages from main namespace marked for translation or not marked for translation have also a complete version in English.

I am surprised that there is so little content in German, as German is the original language of Carcassonne rules.

I have been a member since 9 July. It's been four months. ;)
I also miss German sometimes.
I often look at the German rules.

Our German translator has been away since January 2021 so many translations have fallen behind. :'(

I'm not surprised. Due to, original rules are in german. So german players have "core" rules directly in their boxes.
Do they miss missing rules for interactions? Maybe then don't cares. There are very string strict. If there is written, that this mini is only for basic game, they play it only with basic game. I was there for a while. Rules are rules and they have to be followed.
Is there any gap? Find way in rules and not balance on borders, because you can fall.

"This expansion has been developed for the Carcassonne basic game. All the basic game rules still apply in addition to the expansion rules below. You can combine it with other expansions - but at your own risk – that is, there will be no official rules for these combinations."
"You can combine it with other expansions" means that combining with other expansions is officially allowed, but "there will be no official rules for these combinations" only means that HiG will clarify those interactions when and only if it wants.
