Title: WTB: Kornkreise I, Russian Promos, Darmstadt, Kathars, and Belagerer
Post by: Allograft on September 10, 2021, 11:07:17 PM
After a great game tonight, I'm feeling an urge of completionism, or maybe just an inkling for a little new twist.

I'm not looking to spend a fortune, but I would give them a good home and enjoy playing with them with my family. Would like very good condition, but I'm definitely looking for used--not new--because prices are just too high for new. I mean, new would be great, but all the folks with new seem to be profiteers. I guess that I'm the only douche bag that gives pro bono services to help make the world a better place. Alas. The bags that came with Russian Promos would be nice to have too. -  :pink-meeple:

PS: I just thought of a new musing for Decar: The ***. When you draw a *** tile, you've got to either roll the flier dice and give that many points to each of your opponents (which means moving your meeple backwards) or you can also give your 3rd least scoring feature to an opponent of your choice (assuming 4 or more meeples on the board). Should you have 3 or less meeples on the board, you give an opponent your highest scoring feature if they want it. Only applies to the 7 regular meeples. and the player that drew the *** tile has to exclaim "I love *** work!" Maybe light the meeple candle too if you have one.

I think that these expansions are the hardest to find.
Im searching for the same stuff like u. I only have the Cathars in the Carcasonne almanach magazine. But i need one more for the spielbox heft 5/2004 to complete my magazines. But how far will you go for the completetism?

HAHAHAHAHA. Indeed, it is a deep question. I not really going for completionism for the sake of completionism. I did get BB5 in addition to BB6 mostly for the sheep River III. But it's also my only copy of Hills and Sheep and Wheel of Fortune. I don't feel a need to find the original Inns and Cathedrals that aren't watermarked. At this point, two I & C and T & B's is sufficient as I will never play with both. I did get spare T & B and H & S bags from Cundco as wurst.

It's just enjoyable to have the possibility to play all the variants. In a lot ways, I like looking at the art of the tiles too. I'm a little distressed about the turn that 2.2 with the clipped cities has taken in that way. I do like the C1 art the best I think. 2.1 is nice, and I can see it the soil coloration and texture as an improvement over 2.0. I think that the clipped cities are too busy. I don't even want unpunched for resale. Just very good, pre-owned is fine for me.

I have to admit, I also would like to print several hundred tiles of various fan expansions, just to be able to play all the variants. New Forest, Autumn forest, Fish huts and more. But I want them to be high quality tiles, not the what my printer would print. I am finding that there are a number of challenges to accomplishing this. I suppose that I am a functional completionist after all, as opposed to a collectional or material or component completionist. So, in the end, I think that I have a bizarre variant of completionism. -  :pink-meeple:

There is this offer on german ebay for a used copy of Darmstadt. It is bidding though, so even though the price is extremely low at the moment, it is bound to rise dramatically considering there are almost 5 days remaining. But maybe you will get lucky with this one Allograft.

The rules are obviously photocopied but IIRC, they were on a sheet with a bunch of other Darmstadt-themed items. The tiles look 100% legitimate from the photo. You can see the tile fibre and the green is darker than average, which is correct for those tiles.

Yeah seems correct colors but you can print a tile exactly like the original.

I guess it is always a concern that what looks legitimate ends up not being so, but in this case I think (hope) it is a case of auctions starting low because the seller expects they will get interest and go high.

The seller has Spiel 14 and Spiel 18 tiles as well. The Spiel 14 looks a bit beaten up though:

But not surprising. The one copy available on BGG goes for 150 eur, so I guess they got a good deal.

Just shame you didn't make it in time for the Darmstadt  :'(, butyou probably wouldn't spend that much money on it correct?

Indeed, sir. That's a bit steep for used. I don't mind used, but I don't want to get extorted. -  :pink-meeple:
