E5
Another very lucky tile draw made get on front by 70 odd points but excellent playing by Chuck brought the difference down (un)fortunately to late to change the final result.

I played not my best game, so Chooselife was able to get some of my meeples. But in the final stage of the game, I was able to get the big farm by sneaking into it and thanks to Chooselifes towertile shortage, I was able to play a bit more free. So I could take some of his meeples.

I believe there are only 10 games left to be played. You're doing very well everybody. Keep it up!

:blue-meeple: Zone2 vs Valheruu :green-meeple: 97:90

Urgh, again another frustrating one and ending with 0 points in round two. Thought my good start in this tournament would mean I could capitalize on my good form and maybe finish in the top 5. Boy, was I wrong.

Instead of Zone2 starting really aggressively, I thought 'why not me for a change'. Captured a few meeples, scored some points but I was still behind. Meanwhile, Zone2 started capturing my meeples so we were even, although he had few towerpieces left. I was saving mine for the late game because EVERY game I've played with Towers changed right at the end.

The two most frustrating things about this games were the following:
- I think I drew a worldrecord in rfrf tiles. All useless at the time.
- Zone2 drew all the rcfr-tiles. My city at the right was free while he drew 3 of those tiles in 5 turns! After that, he blocked it easily.

The big city in the middle was unbelievably well protected. I was in it from the start but zone2 joined in and later captured my meeple. Thinking I'd capture his back, leaving the city empty, proved impossible. The city was worth 19 points and when you look at the final score, that could have been the deciding factor.

I think I played well, especially in the endphase. Zone2 was out of towerpieces going in the final moments and I meant to use that advantage. Unfortunately just not enough. The thing with the tower is: you have so much stuff to do, you have to make a lot of difficult choices.  I managed to steal the main farm (30p), captured a lot of meeples, blocking any attempts of his to join in on the main farm. I went from being 40 points down to 6, 2 tiles from the end. The farmer on the right (just above the 30 point mark) made me tie it, but he had one tile left. All my attempts proved in vain and zone2 won it with 7 points.

Besides being the most frustrating expansion, I still like the Tower a lot because you can turn a game around in, say, 20 tiles. That makes for really tense games, for example the one against KhalidQ and this one.

Thanks for the game, zone2 and congratulations with your 7th place overall. I have to be satisfied with the 8 place  :-\ But I'm making progress while having fun and that's the most important thing.

Also congrats to Danisthirty and KhalidQ for their places in this tournament.

Which tile was the last for zone2? I am just wondering, how he earned 7 points? :)
OK, I figured it out: most lower-right cfff tile :)

And, by the way, zone2 has 1 point more due the cccc tower tile bug.

Guys, I'm off until Sunday. There's a little Festival in northern Germany, called Wacken Open Air....
Sorry to Andrew for not being able to play last weekend. I hope, we can do our match as soon, as I have returned!

Your game with Rosco is critically important to him if he wants to win the league so every game matters! I think he is back from his adventures now anyway, so hopefully he should be able to play soon...
