MrNumbers vs. ny1050220
107:85 (+2 bug points for me)

A relatively quick game, big farm changed the owner multiple times, in the end we shared it. I was luckier completing middle-sized empty cities (emptied by towers).

OK then, so it had no effect. In this case, here is our ranking so far before any of us have played Valheru:

1st... khalidqasrawi: 4pts (+27 PD)
2nd... danisthirty: 2pts (+25 PD)
3rd... zone2: 0pts (-52 PD)

"Val-heral-heru, where are you? You've got some work to do now..." :D

Sent everybody a message. Again, my sincere apologies for being quiet this week!

Here's my game with Rich_The_Fish. I won at 104:86 (or 105:87 if we manually take care of the pennant, no difference in PD, though).
From the break down of the scores you can see I pay ransom four times. Rich took my meeples very early on and I kept not drawing towers, so I was short on meeple in the middle stage of the game, so I had to buy my meeple back one after another. The story behind this is that we kept fight over the huge field. Rich dominated the field for quite a while before I had the rrrr tile with tower near the SE corner and took his meeple and the field as well. Rich placed a tower near the bottom of the map, attempting to take my two meeples, so I had to cap the tower again (the first capped tower is to the north of it).
Near the end, I wanted to protect my third farmer on the same field at NW, so I capped a third tower. This caused a very bad shortage of meeples: I have 3 farmers and 3 tower guards(?). That occurred when ~20 tiles were left (Correct me if I'm wrong, Rich!) So for my remaining 10 tiles I couldn't get any advantage but trying to take down Rich's knight in the huge incomplete city. He capped the same tower twice to protect his knight.

I don't bit understand: if you paid ransom, why you have positive score on ransoms?  ???

I'm interested, too. I hope it's not another bug of scoring...

Yes, that is weird. It didn't occur to me when I post it. What's worse, now I really can't remember how many times I paid for ransom. When I wrote the summary, I thought it was four time simply because the program said the random was 12 points in total. Oh wow, that's frustrating. Before I jump to the conclusion that Rich should be the one who wins the game, let's see if Rich remembers something that helps clarify the issue and/or the bug.
To be honest, I can only recall two times when I paid ransom. Certainly, this does not mean that there was not a third and a fourth time.
I'll now have a question for Rich: did you pay ransom to retrieve you meeple? I think I captures quite a few of your meeples in the latter half of the game.
We used the online server, if that helps us understand the issue.

I don't think this is a bug. Rich_The_Fish said that he also had to buy back a lot of his meeples...

Rich_The_Fish said that he could remember buying back at least 4 or 5, so I guess the story may be that he bought 6 and I bought 2.

I secured 9th place of the tournament after an incredible game with MrNumbers. I needed enormous amount of lucky draws to finally win the game by one single point.
JCZ shows 96:94 as final result but MrNumbers owns the city with the faulty tower tile so by adding that extra point the final score is

:red-meeple: MrNumbers vs  :violet-meeple: Leven 95:96

Again, no 100 points for me which means that I'm the only player in this league who wasn't able to score 100 in any of the games. Still, of course I'm not disappointed after this not particularly deserved victory. On the one hand, I drew the majority of the tower tiles (and I still wasn't able to win the battle for the main farm), but my biggest lucky moment was drawing the only remaining CRFR tile which enabled me to score 24 pts by completing the abandoned city on the left. Needless to say that without that I couldn't have a chance for even playing a close game.
Thanks for this great game, MrNumbers.

E1
very tense and matched game.
tiles towers fell equally , where on both sides ate meeple.

enjoy a lot with this game where every move was vital.

When you lose, do not look at what you lost, but what's left to win ..

I'm sure it will be, but it might have to wait for a little while as he's just gone off to do his adventure race thing ("476km of running, mtb, kayak, canyoning, and via ferrata - all with a lot of orienteering"). He'll be offline for the next week or so.

I can probably play you this evening. It would have to be quite late though, about 10pm UK time. Is this too late for you?

What if a player draws a tower tile but they don't have any more tower floors?
