I do not want to be annoying, but any updates (again)?  :)

My brother is visiting the UK this week, and of course he came by our place to say hi!
And part of coming by to say hi includes delivering Carcassonne of course!

Bag 1 included a few great things, such as the Czech Castle, and some boxes from Brain Games (my first boxes from them!)

Bag 2 has the rest of the Italian BB7, and a bunch of Dutch C1 expansions :)

1) :red-meeple: 14 Points left meeple; 13 points right meeple, 27 total         :yellow-meeple: 13 Points

2) Yes, the red Meeple on the left goes to the bathhouse
This seemed more clear in C1, since negative points happened outside any round of scoring. In this case, negative scorings could never trigger a message.

However, the clarifications provided for C2 indicate that there is only one round of scoring that would combine in 3. Scoring a feature all the scorings happening during one player's turn. Exception given: the 1-point fairy bonus at the beginning if the active player's turn (Why this? :o).

This simplification leads to a new set of open issues I could not get a proper answer from HiG. One of them is how to deal with negative points and messages, since this could lead to different scenarios when combining scoring negative and positive points during a turn. All in all, the big question is this: when the active player lands on a dark space, is the order of the points scored when positive and negative points have to be combined? Should scoring +5 points and then -3 points lead to the same result as -3 points followed by +5 points if in both cases you ended on the same dark space on the scoreboard?

The conclusion of a previous discussion suggested that the order positive and negative points should be irrelevant, and we should only consider the total balance of points scored by the active player during this turn. Only positive balances would trigger a message.

If scoring +5 points and -3 points represents a total blanace of +2 points, which would trigger a message for the active player. On the other hand, if the active player scores +3 points and -4 points and ends up on a dark space, no message would be triggered, since the total balance would be -1 point.

Any comments on this matter?

Question #16: Red places this tile. The player has the following questions:
1) How many points does each player score?
2) Does any meeple go to the free bathhouse?

So... to help people determine what's reasonable for this rare item.

I could buy this expansion for over 270€ On ebay.
Or I could buy 5 of the 6 Siege tiles for 97€ on ebay.  :(y)
The Siege tiles sold for ~80€ on BBG over the past year, and ~160€ last month.
This box sold for over 200€ on BGG a while ago.  Some sales around 40€ were made, but I suspect they might be partial listings.

I'd say that a supportive community has as much duty to ensure something isn't sold for less than it's value. There are plenty of people willing to rip someone off by buying an item for far less than it's true worth...maybe even to turn it over for a quick profit.

Also a scalper is someone who buys and sells tickets unofficially for a quick profit. A totally inaccurate term to use.

Carcassonne isn't a ticket.
There is no official means of selling or buying Carcassonne.
And from what I can tell the items come from a personal collection, rather than being purchased with the intent to sell on quickly.

@supertopix I've asked you to be civil. I don't have to live on a forum with people are rude.

I don't think a love of a game should mean someone should sell an item here, to someone they didn't know, for less than market value. We don'tstipulate that you have to sell it for less because there are fans here. That's nonsense.

If you don't like it. Don't post. Post somewhere else. There's no need to be rude.

I'm happy the forum gets some traffic at least and helps people determine how much their collection might be worth, or how much something might cost, or at least how much they should insure it for. As items become harder to find. They are harder to replace.

@supertopix - We don't have many rules on this forum. Sellers can use this space for what they wish. If you don't agree with the price, I'd appreciate if you can at least be civil. Or use this thread for it's intended purpose: For people to make offers.

I don't think Egmar is under any delusion that the items he's offering for sale abide by the consumer laws of supply and demand. By keeping negotiations in the open, everyone can see what things are worth, and things are only worth what someone is willing to buy.
Yes, of course. And I know the rules. But let me live the idea of being in a forum for Carcassonne lovers and gamers, and not in a scalpers world. That said, I’m happy when someone can find a very hard to find tile, and so be it.
I'm not sure you quite recognise the time (hours and hours and hours) and effort and knowledge that goes in to assembling a large collection of hard-to-find Carcassonnerie, finding it in unlikely places, paying for it and its shipping, keeping it, cataloguing it, listing it, dealing with enquiries about it, working out best-price shipping for it, working out payment arrangements for folks who don't know how to do it and then packing it and posting it.   If I paid myself UK Minimum National Living Wage (£9.50/hr) I'd probably break even overall.   I resent being called a scalper - even tangentially.
